  • Hey peeps! I've had my Z+ Neo a week or two now and I love the quality of IPTV content via MOL2. So much so that I've hardly used TiviMate on my other devices at all since the Formuler turned up.

I'm contemplating getting another Formuler device for our "cinema room" but I'm curious to know if there's any tangible benefit of purchasing the Z8 Pro if I'm only going to use the box for MOL2? If so what benefit(s)?

I won't use it for anything else as my Nvidia Shield take care of Plex, YouTube, Netflix etc etc etc.

    Thoughts would be welcomed

  • With better specifications of Ram and emmc , the processing speed is much faster.

And also 1gigabit of LAN and wifi dualband enable faster internet speed too.

Thanks for the reply. I'm aware there are hardware differences however that's why I was careful with the wording of my question. Namely - "tangible benefit".

The sentiment behind my question was will the better specs impact MOL2, if at all?

  • How is this going to be hooked up in your cinema room, ethernet or wifi? If you are going ethernet then the Neo's ethernet is going to be fine.

If you use wifi then distance and walls may and I say may cause issues. Buffering and lose of signal. The Z8 would be better as it has 2G and 5G while the Neo only has 2G wifi.

  • Some people like the new remote that comes with Alpha/Z8 Pro. Of course you could always just buy a Neo and then buy and extra remote as well.

Ethernet. I did temporarily try wifi on the Neo but it was pitiful so I quickly switched to wired.

Thanks, I've seen that you can get the Neo with the GTV-IR1 included for £78 on Amazon (Formuler Sales UK) so that's an option.
