Hi, can someone help me with this? Formuler Z10 display problem with AAC/H.264 streams Hardware decoding does'nt work, software work. I've read all possible posts and tried multiples scenarios (display settings, dev settings, cable, tv, networks, apps, factory reset, etc.)
I literally have no idea, but I'll post it anyway.
What happens if you install audio optimizer from market and run that app and try again?
(I dont have my Z10 yet, so I dont even know if there IS a market for the Z10 haha)

But I have used my Z10 all day and I had a AAC/H.264 stream running all evening.
Did your MyTVonline2 install the missing codecs it always asks for when you use it the very first time?

Yes sir! It sure did! Slight issue tho, it came with an NA-connector for the power supply unit - so I'm kinda scared it will damage the box - running the power thru an adapter right now but the guarantees felt super vague when I bought it from the local tech shop. So now I'm super paranoid about it.
BUT THE BOX IS AWESOME. Besides the major facepalm, everything is looking hella cool.

Yes I installed all codecs it asked me to
Just get a random adapter that is 12V 1A.

Yes but every other apps are way way slower then my old Shield TV 2017. And my Shield can decode H.264 videos, Z10 can't for some units. And for these chooses ones... Good luck to find help!

What I like is the Google store can be navigated with the remote. Switching apps are reliable: I use Plex, YouTube, TV4 play (works as intended without using any apk), SVT play.

I’ll be blunt. It can. You just didn’t install it correctly. There’s NO WAY you installed the codecs that MOL2 asks you for when it notices it’s missing it.
I’m running MOL2, Plex, Twitch AND YouTube.
At a bare minimum, h264 is a 1080p entry level nowadays. And I have zero issues running h265 [email protected]/2@High.
I’ll even upload (more) images of it if you don’t believe me

I believe you. You're the one that don't believe me. I factory reset 5 times, tried all config you can imagine, install all codecs successfully. But hey, you sell those boxes, why would you admit it can be faulty?

Please guys, no need to battle. There is always reason and solution.
Please change your resolution (i guess 4K/60) to 4K/30Hz and test again.
If this happen again, do factory reset to see if the problem is gone.
Important:
We have reports from some Users (only few!) with decoding and playback problems, seems Gremmlins have the same issue. The devs. working already with priority on Hotfix for this and we hope to get this hotfix early Oct. Please note also, it is not general problem!
It is new chipset (Realtek), different than Z8 and older Boxes with (Hisilicon) or GTV (Amlogic). New box with new OS need time to get fully optimised (like all others too), the zapping and app speed will increase and bugs eliminated. I see very big potential in this box + hardware and devs will get in future the best out of the box.

Im having exacly same problems as the topic starter and the latest hotfix did not help with the problems, some of the formats i use (h.264) lags and the app just freez at the end. i Tried Kodi, VLC, MX player.
this is why I never buy a new box at launch,its full of bugs and ive always ended up sending them back,give it 6 months and it will be better than the z8

VC-1 is Microsoft proprietary video codec. It isn't the same as AVC or h.264

Not sure. It should be supported by 3rd party player apps like VLC or KODI using software decode.
