BT1 Not updating past Firmware 0.5.30 for Z10 Pro

I purchased a BT1 remote. I got it to connect with no issues and the firmware updated version 0.5.30. I wanted to setup the volume control but I get a message that states "this feature is supported from remote v0.5.35 or higher". There appears to be a newer version of the firmware which is supposed to be part of the Z10 update but I am unable to get anything to update. The z10 software update appears to be the current version and the Remote App is at v1.2.1 but the remote firmware stays at 0.5.30. How do I force the update for the remote in order to use the volume control?

The latest firmware for the BT1 remote has temporarily been taken down in order to investigate some reported bugs.
