VPN on Z10Pro Max - App does not start automatically

    Hi folksz,

    I switched from a Z8 Pro to a Z10 Pro Max yesterday. Unfortunately, some little things do not work as usual. One example is the automatic start of OpenVPN if the connection was established when the box was shut down or restarted. Does anyone know why that is happening?

    I just read a little bit. Some apps require the so-called always-on function, which is probably not available on the Z10. Anyone have an idea how to activate this?

    Furthermore, I have now seen OpenVPN for Android in the Playstore. Can someone tell me where the difference to the internal marketplace app?

    Use the start up function from the box. Home menu -> Launcher Settings -> choose your VPN app.

    Now will each time your vpn app start as first app automatically after box reboot or power off.

    have you folks actually gotten VPN to work with Z10

    I'm trying with the app that is actually installed by default but have had no success.

    Reading your posts, I wonder if the VPN connection must occur before any server connection.

    IS that correct?

    when I close down Mytvonline 2, and move on the the vpn application, I open it and pick a server and activate the server.

    Then, I move back to MYTO2 and it tries to connect... still get the code 7-400

    This is very frustrating

    Any suggestions?

    My VPN is SurfShark. Although the VPN is activated and i confirm this because it shows on other Apps with different IP addresses, MyTvOnline Key does not show that it is activated. Is there a way to switch VPN ON or OFF or a way to set VPN on MyTVOnline2?

    1. the playstore version maybe the more updated one to the market one.

    2. you can try installing the most updated version

    3. try another vpn client like express vpn(use the playstore version because it is the updated one to the market version).

    4. you can set the app to start up when the box loads via the launcher settings

    5. the z8 have more optimized code to work with vpn and also some provider don't work well with vpn.

    6. if your router have vpn client function use that instead of the client on the box.
