* Info:

Formuler Z8-series (Alpha, Neo, etc.) implements normal DNS changer. Not Private DNS like on z10.

Whether or not using one or the other will solve any issues for certain people is unknown due to different ISPs and networking environments.

What is certain is now, it is much easier to change the DNS on the Formuler device without affecting any other settings. Before you had to setup a static IP in order to change the DNS.

This was not easy for a lot of basic users.

How is the z10 private dns different from the z8 normal dns?

Z10 have ON/OFF setting for this + you can change manually the DNS or choose directly Cloudflare, Google or Quad 9 .

Z8 (withOS7) do not have Private DNS feature ( is available on OS9 and higher), you can choose one of 3 best DNS Server or enter manually.

I’ve updated 2 z8 boxes and afterwards both boxes want connect via Ethernet only Wi-Fi

Activate dhcp again in network menu and turn off wifi, reboot the box and check after 2 min. if exclamation mark appear (home menu-network symbol) or if all is showing correctly ..

Hello ,

After updating my Z8, the box crashes when I launch MOL2,the progress bar is displayed and restart in a loop, I have to reset it each time.The only way to make it work is to do a reset, install MOL2 and not do the system update. What else can I do?

Hello,

I've also had extreme problems since I updated my Z8.

MOL2 just crashes after a random time. The screen turns gray and no longer responds to any inputs.

If I keep it running from there, the device will eventually hang in a loop and keep trying to restart.

The only thing that helps is pulling the plug.

From time to time I also get the message "leanback launcher has stopped responding".

The error does not occur with all other apps. Only in MOL2.

Need help.

I have a Z8 Pro and a Z10 Pro...my EPG has stopped working on both the Z8 and Z10 when it comes to MyTVOnline2. It was working on both of them yesterday. I did do an update on the Z10 yesterday. I thought that it may be due to the update that I did but the Z8 hasn't been updated in awhile. Both of the Formulers are having this issue. My other android boxes are working with my IPTV provide as it relates to my EPG on them with Tivimate...any help would be appreciated, Thanks...

It seems I've solved the problem. Apparently it wasn't the update. It was just a stupid coincidence.

I noticed that the error I mentioned always occurred after about 30 minutes... In the end I replaced the USB stick that I was using for timeshift. And since then everything has been running smoothly again.
