  • Hi,

Trying to setup OpenVPN. I installed the OpenVPN client from the market but when I start the app I get an OpenVPN nag screen that I need to "agree" to proceed. Ok no problem but for the life of me I can't figure out what button on the remote allows me to click yes to "agree" or even scroll down the page, tried every button. Seems like a simple problem but I'm stuck ... lol.

Update: Was able to get APK for OpenVPN but failed with "App not installed"

    Z11 Pro Max, latest software.

    Thanks for any help.

  • The OpenVPN client provided in the market may be old and it may not be optimized for TV devices - requiring a mouse cursor to click on some buttons.

This means you may need to map the "mouse cursor" function to one of the hotkeys on your remote. You can map the mouse cursor to a hotkey on your remote using the Formuler Remote app. If you don't see the Formuler Remote app on your device, download and install it from the Market.

The easier workaround is to download and install "OpenVPN for Android" from the Play Store. This version of the app is optimized for TV and you don't need a mouse cursor to navigate it.

Unsolicited PMs for support will be ignored.

Duplicate support requests to the forums and helpdesk will be ignored.

  • also:

    1. to resolve the app not install error, if you can't get it from the playstore then use example apkmirror to acquire the apk, but select the arm32 version nodpi

the z10/11 although it have 64bit cpu the 64bit apk will not install if side loaded.

    2. if you must use the market version and don't want to use mouse mode on the formuler remote, then connect a usb mouse to the box.

use the tab key and enter to select if using usb keyboard.
