some apps are not properly compatible with android tv higher version.
you can try using different versions by manually installing or wait for an update from the creater of the app.
The RTL+ app is very unstable and crashing mostly everytime when pausing a video on the app from the Android app store on my Z11 Pro Max box.
It never crashes when I use the same app from my Philips TV.
Try to find Android TV Version of RTL+ app and not mobile, install Android TV version and test again. RTL+ App have some issues even on TV, i used this in private 2 Month and quit at end.
try apkmirror for the android tv version
once the package id is the same it will ask to update.
android mobile and tv has the same package id for the app, is just base on the device and os version the store will select the best version for the device.
sometimes you have to install the app manualy

if it also has leanback in the name is android tv version.
some mobile version will work perfect if it has the keyboard navigation added but you will have to try it for stability.
