My current IPTV source (m3u URL) has 3882 channels when connected to TiviMate but while connected to MOL3 it's only discovering 2822 channels. What's the reason for the discrepancy?

Maybe VOD streams are being counted as "channels" in the other app.

Would make sense but the service provider doesn’t offer VOD.

Hard to say where the discrepancy comes from without looking at the m3u.
You can try to check the following:
Take a look at one channel group at a time and compare the number of displayed channels between MOL3 and your other IPTV client app to check for differences.
Report back with your results.

not sure if mol3 has this but some players will detect channels as copies and display one channel if the tvg-id are the same in the m3u.
xc or mac is the better bet to m3u because m3u suffers from:
1. longer loading
2. missing tags and bad text encoding
3. somewhat messy to edit
4. longer to update if using the local file or can suffer from url timeout if the file is very large(if using remote url to fetch the file)

Thank you both for you responses. I am leaning towards MOL3 seeing them as duplicate channels. For example there’s a kids channel category that is populated while on Tivimate but completely empty on MOL3. More than likely because all the channels can be found in a separate group. I’ll just have to favorite them now to make them easily findable.
Hoping to pick your brains while I have your attention. If I stop watching tv and power down the Z11 pro max (standby mode I believe), when I turn the device back on to watch TV again the audio doesn’t work. Force stoping MOL3 doesn’t help. I have to reboot the Z11 for audio to return. This doesn’t happen with other apps, only MOL3. I tried crawling through the forum but I didn’t find anything similar.

if not done, try updating to the beta 11.2.2.

I'm interested in debugging the duplicate channel issue with you further if you have the time. Please start a conversation with me using the button at the top-right of the screen.
Is the no sound issue easily reproducible? It is strange that the sound works in other apps but not MOL3 after you wake up the device.
