  • Hi Sam and Team,

So on my Z11 Pro, I have two streams running and recently I noticed that one of the streams has been freezing like crazy. I realized my ISP must have flagged the DNS and was causing me issues. So I activated NordVPN and what I have been experiencing on the stream my ISP has apparently flagged, it comes up with cannot establish an connection. If I go back to NordVPN and change the country or deactivate and reactivate so it picks up a new US server, the stream starts playing again. Is it possible my ISP is now playing games with my using a VPN?

  • Not directly, because isp see only encrypted connection/data flow. It could be just the server connection establishment or the connected vpn server is not ok, you have to change until you find good server.

  • Reinstall your vpn app, download the apk directly from supplier and sideload on the box. Try also other supported protocols from the vpn app.

  • Last night i've got a lot of network errors on both xc and stalker portals, but only on some channels, meaning portal was working fine on some channels and giving network error on other channels... After 00h00 AM things got fine.

I will test it again tonight, but i will change vpn country IP to see if it's related...

Could it be that the server is overloaded?

  • Could it be that the server is overloaded?

That was my first thought, but as i have my shield at hand with tivimate ready and no errors on the same channel...same vpn, same server, same stalker (not sure because on tivimate some fields are different).

Probably on tivimate the network errors happen, but you probably won't notice them because app is different, maybe MOL3 only opens a channel when it sees the channel is stable, tivimate opens everything, tivimate or ott, iptv smarters, etc...

And server can be overloaded, but if it's overloaded it should be on every channel, not only on some channels...

  • Same problem here, since the last update, more frequent "a network error has occurred",on some channels.

It just happens in the middle of a live tv program, when checking internet connection on Home page ,everything is fine (wifi)

Other channels work OK,and when retrying the channel it started on,it will simply open without a problem!

I am using NORDvpn and i am on XC connection on two providers.

  • hello what do you mean by this then ... Maybe API problem? what does API mean

Well, some network errors are done when provider, vpn or even "vpn isp" block the API used by MOL3. It happened with tivimate in the past, but was solved by changing API inside portal settings in tivimate to whatever you wish. MOL3 maybe need this, it already has somekind of editing stuff going around, meaning you can change from default to custom 1 and 2, but not sure if you can change it to "STOP BLOCKING LIVE CHANNELS AT 8PM" or something similar...lol

  • I have been following this thread and also contributed my own notion that something must be up with MOL3 and NordVPN. Today I discovered while accessing my Stream via iPhone with NordVPN up and running, a connection error occurred until I disconnected NordVPN and everything came back instantly.

Not only Nordvpn, surfshark here... And channels are fine with surfshark + tivimate + nvidia shield -.- It's MOL3 alone, let them figure it out. It starts around 8PM and it only affects some channels.

And another funny stuff is channels with network error and black screen in live, we can access catch-up on that channel and recording works...Meaning if you book recording for that channel it will record the real thing, altough it gives network error on live. Catch-up from 2 hours ago or yesterday works on that channel. Weird stuff!!!

  • hmmm then I can knock it off outside the Epg which does not have every channel I hardly experience any problems and if something fails it is solved by the server and usually within a few hours I have not experienced any failures for the last 2 months

Yes, most provider servers are to blame for this errors, they change the delivery codec weekly, they test, they are attacked, severe attacks now by anti-piracy police. Problem is other iptv apps can or are ready for this changes. Codec wise if your decoding codecs are well established and if your Android firmware is well polished (see what i did there?) i think it will solve most problems.

For example, if you could use MOL3 on nvidia shield i'm sure most of this mediacodecsexception and network errors would never happen, but thats just me speculating. I think MOL3 is an amazing app and the problem here is formuler devs are not doing enough to cope with MOL3 needs and tbh it's not entirely their fault as this is a new unkown SOC and GPU and there isn't too much knowledge to take advantage of it's capabilities and i don't think it's going to happen in the next months or so, maybe next year. New Hardware is amazing and stuff, but the firmwares of other similar android boxes with realtek SOC that brings this new gpu are not much better...

  • The frequency of "a network error occured" has become annoyingly high, with subsequent loss of inetrnet connection, made me return to my trusted z10pro.

I think it should be on high priority list for the devs.as the box becomes almost useless for regular use

  • Yeah, it’s getting a bit annoying now!

I get “Network Error…” pretty much every time that I want to change channel!

Occasionally, I can maybe change channel two or three times before things break, but as soon as I exit to the Home Screen, I am showed as having no Ethernet connection!

I bought my Z11 at the end of April.

So far, I have had to restart it 313 times, just to change channel! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m surprised that the box hasn’t blown up! 😅

  • strange I bought the box at the beginning of May I have not experienced it so extreme, I think it has something to do with the server only

I think it has more to do with the latest mol3 update.

Why would it be the server only?

Its highely unprobable that all members reporting have either the same ISP and iptv provider!

  • It's not the server, same channel that gives network error works on other iptv players, meaning on those players there is no network error.

To me it seems to be iptv blocking. Sometimes, some iptv player + vpn combination can bypass this blocks, but with MOL3 you have to change vpn country a lot. It's a pain in the arss...

And it's not iptv server blocking vpn, they're testing something new and it blocks some premium channels starting at 8PM until 00AM on several countries like Netherlands Belgium, mostly EU countries. if you change to a third world country problem solved...Then you have to deal with huge ms, but anyways...

  • Ahoy…..

I have been pulling my hair out over the last few months trying to get this box to work!!!

I only use it for IPTV, and my provider is utterly awesome, so no issues there!

I have a Z11 Pro Max, ******, and a ******, all running the same provider!

No issues on the ******, apart from the ****** not supporting HLG, and the ****** not supporting AFR!

My issues with the Z11…… Changing channel!

    Any channel!

Every time I change a channel!

That’s all I want to do!

    It just crashes!

Since April, over 400 restarts and over 20 resets, just to change the fecking channel!

    Utterly appalling!

Anyway, for anyone else having trouble with this god awful box, I have had a mess around with all of the developer options before throwing the thing in the bin, because that’s all it deserves, and enabling “Performance Mode” - “Maximum CPU Performance” in “Others” seems to have made a little bit of a difference!

It’s still totally crap, but rather than having to restart the box every time I want to change channel (I only watch 3 channels, as I don’t really watch TV) the box now only takes around 30 seconds to buffer, and then takes another 30 seconds to re-sync the video to the audio!

Still pathetic for a box of this price, but much better than having to restart it another 400 times over the next 4 months! 🤦🏼‍♀️

    Going to try a Z10!

    Apparently it’s much better! 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • Hi,KI,i am having similar problems with my z11pm.When the error "a network error has occurred" everything comes to a halt as it is followed by a loss of internet connection(wifi),which makes it impossible to send logs or put it on video (as there is nothing to show)

Have you also received a request,by pm, to send logs or a video,as i can imagine you will have the same problems delivering these for the devs.? :loudly_crying_face:
