There is a USB2 and a USB3 port on the Z11 Max Pro.
I plugged in an old external hard drive using the USB3 port but then realized I hadn't checked the write speed of the drive.
Just because it has a USB interface doesn't mean the drive inside can be written to at the required speed.
I searched the forums but I couldn't find any posting about minimum write speed required for recording.
Is there a write speed test that gives a quick "fast enough" or "not fast enough" result ?
I don't want to be recording items only to chase issues later on due to a slow USB drive.
I also don't want to buy a new fast drive if my existing older drives are "fast enough".
Can someone point me to the document/URL that provides guidance on minimum drive specs required for stable recording ?
