    Hello

    I have been using my new Z11 pro for about 45 days. Powering ON and OFF, to and from standby has been a real flaky from day 1. I frequently have to unplug and replug the box to get the box to turn on (say every 4 times i turn my box on/off.


    ====Details====

    --- --Z11 Pro's version and chaning the HDMI CEC setting did not solve the problem------

    Model: Z11 pro. I have upgraded to the Dec 6 firmware version. - 11.2.10. and Mol3 11.2.34

    My power off button has been set to go to standby.

    Originally I set HDMI CEC to OFF. I recently changed HDMI CEC to ON so that tuning the TV on/Off is suppose to turn on/off the box - note changing the HDMI CEC setting did NOT solve the wakeup from standby problem. Also my TV is quite old so it may not have HDMI CEC smarts.)

    --- The problem----

    When i hit the STB power button on my formuler remote the box does the following

    1) light goes from white to red as expected. Later when i hit the STB power button to wake up

    1a) sometime the z11 pro wakes up from sleep, (60% of time)

    1b) about 40% of the time z11 does not wake up even though the light goes from red to white. At that point i wait. then after a while i hit the STB power button again and the light will go blank for a while and then white again. Sometimes it will go to red and then blank and then while. Sometimes the Z11 will boot and sometime nothing happens.

    If nothing happens then the only way to fix this is to remote the power plug an dput it back in and the z11 will boot.

    2) the light goes to red and then a while later when i come back i notice the light has now blank (all by itself)

    Q. Meaning of the lights - RED means shutdown or standby. WHITE means up and running (except when it is hung trying to wakeup from standby) . what exactly does the BLANK light mean? Does it mean early stages of the boot process of the Android OS? On Z8 the light id RED OR Green and some times ORANGE when the wakeup seems to be stuck, but hitting the STB power on the remote seems to always fix it by forcing a reboot.

    Given that about 30% of the time i have remove the power plug to get it out of the hung state is very annoying and makes the z11 unusable.

    I never had that problem on Z8 - if it is stuck with the "Orange" light (very rare) then hitting the STB power button usually fixes it.


    Q Is this a firmware bug or faulty box issue? Have others seen this issue? There hasn't been a firmware upgrade since dec 6.,

    I have 15 days to return and exchange the box. If that does not fix this then i guess i can buy the Z10 box which i heard is very reliable. MOL3 seems a little better than MOL2 though I see the Android 11 vs Android 10 as the bigger advantage as Formuler does not seem to ever upgrade from one major version of Android to another (my Z8 is still on Android 8 and is not getting any security fixes and newer apps are not available).

    I have not tried resetting the box. Is there a way to back up all setting incling my MOL3 favourites?

    2. Take the battery`s out for 10-20 min., replace battery`s and use this time new and full battery`s.

    Test again.

    If step 1 and 2 doesn`t help then contact your seller for box replace.

    You mean take our the battery from the remote?

    BTW how do save the config of the favorite channels? I can take a photo of the portal config but there are too many favorite channels that will be a pain to reselect.

    Do Backup from Mol3 first, later you can restore after factory reset.

    All Apps and settings are deleted after factory reset.

I have the same problem, I did the factory settings as in the video tutorial posted there and nothing helps, the box does not wake up after 6 hours of sleep, and when I manage to start it, it works without problems (turn on/off/standby) I went to the store to return it and the seller told me that I'm not the only one who returns because of that problem, out of 10 boxes, 7 were returned to him because of the same problem and he convinced me to wait for an update, if there are no corrections then to return it. So I went back to the old Z8, which is perfect. I hope that the developers will see this problem and solve it as soon as possible.     Thanks for this info! I've been seeing the same issue. I keep getting a message "No or Weak Signal" on my TV when I turn them both on. At first I thought it might be my connection to my receiver. Changed HDMI cables and tried different ports. Same issue.

    I then bypassed the receiver and connected the Z11 directly to the TV. Same issue.

    I also did the factory reset. It would only work if I unplugged the Z11 to restart. Unfortunately, my return window has closed. Hopefully this gets addressed in the next update.

    Has anyone figured out a Fix for this issue?? My standby is the same way. It works within a few hours but when I go to bed and wake up 6 or more hrs later. I get a hdmi not connected on my TV. I unplug the z11 box and then it works. Ive had this box for 2yrs now and every few months Ive had major issues. Have to factory reset. And then redo all my apps. Its a half a day to set up again. I think they are junk. I wont be buying another one.

    I also have the same issue with my Z11 pro max going into sleep or standby mode after use or switching to regular TV mode. When I switch back to the Formuler Z11Pro Max I get a black screen but my power light is still powered on (white) I assume it is in standby or sleep mode . Where are these sleep mode and sec settings and what should I set them to ,to keep my box from sleeping

    I don’t have those problems, but

    - my TV turns on when a scheduled recording starts, although there’s no CEC setting to turn on TV when Z11 starts recording (TV doesn’t turn on when I start Z11 manually). Could only eliminate that problem when I turned off CEC completely. It’s now useless to me.

    - Z11 doesn’t turn off after a recording is finished

    - Z11 will shut down after 6.5 hours of use without me doing anything. I think that this is also related to the CEC setting and that Z11 all of a sudden notices that the recording has finished (5.5 hours ago) and therefore shuts down.

    I have the same issues on my Z12 Ultra

    - Automatic reboot after sleep and continue plaing a series almost every time

    - non responsive remote after sleep but sometimes recovers after 20/30 seconds

    - TV reports no signal on the HDMI but the box is on but this is only ocasionall (4 or 5 times in 2 months)
