I have downloaded the PIA vpn app from the Market place store, ive installed it, put in my details, but it will not start up, it just sits there saying " Authenticating " and it just wont connect, would anybody happen to know what is going on here......Thanks

I can only advice to download the newesy version from there website https://installers.privateinternetaccess.com/download/pia-a….0.18-10681.apk
And install that one on your box.
It requires android 7 and higher and the z8 box has Android 7. So give it a try with the newest version. Dont think so the market version in the newest.

Thanks for your reply m8, now i will download this on to my laptop, and transfer it to the Hard drive that i record onto, now what would be the directory/folder that i would need to put the software into on the hard drive please......thanks....
On the root. You can open the apk then or
With the app file manager plus you can open from the root from the drive.

I have PIA, & the latest version that the person above linked to on my Formuler Z11 Pro Max. I have not have any trouble connecting to it at all, & of course all is up to date in my Max as far as system updates. Maybe a force stop & clearing the cache of the PIA app could help possibly. Could be a corrupt file somehow on installing so a delete & fresh install of latest version may help. Mine worked fine every time set to auto connect without any issues. Maybe there is another app conflicting somehow? Who knows? For me although I have the PIA app on my Max, I don't use it anymore really. Instead of worrying about it connecting & working as it should all the time, I bought a Cudy WR3000 (sometimes referred to as AX3000) router. I couldn't install but only the OVPN files in to the router though from PIA as they don't have compatibility for Wireguard protocol. I found the perfect fix though to be able to use Wireguard as it's so much faster. I purchased Surfshark basic service which was 7 day free trial then 55.72 for 28 months, & their site has a Wireguard file generator. It creates the private/public keys you download to computer and install in to the guts of the router. Works beautifully without any issues whatsoever. I can run any location in or out of the country with my slow 200mbps internet & it flies along super good. This protects the device via hardwire 24/7 with no chance of failure to be VPN protected. Super cool in the guts of router to install file. It fills in all the keys & info for you. I downloaded the latest APK file from PIA from their site of their app, transferred it to my phone, then shot it in to my Max via the send to tv app. Worked perfectly for me.
