Any explanation on this? Can boxes purchased and setup in North America not be taken overseas to europe/india/asia? What about a europe box taken to asia? Will you really brick your device if you connect it in another country?

What i know is that when its setup in homecountry (without vpn) and your box is "activated" and worked at your home.
You should take it with you on vacation?

Try a vpn with free trial.
Maby can some friends on forum hete advice you a good vpn with trial. I only know and use nordvpn.

Once you have activated your box in your home country, if you use a VPN to change to a different country will that "brick" the box?

I use it here in my home country. And when i connect from my european country to canada or do. Nothing happens. I can watch tv.

This box is bricked now. Reconnecting it back to network in North America it still shuts down.

Should send to seller when the message like on picture appear. Box should be activated first in the country of sell.

Can you use the VPN after the activation in the country of sell. I am reading here it will still "brick" the box if you do. I need to use a VPN, but am worried.

You can use it everywhere.
Just setup YOUR NEW BOX BOUGHT IN YOUR OWN CONTINENT and first in your home country.
Be sure where you bought the box and they sent you a new BOX FOR YOUR continent.
Then you should take it to everywhere normally.
