    I usually dont use Dutch subtitles for English/American VOD/Tv series as i find them more of an hinderance than helpful.

    However,i started watching an Tv series (mobland) thats full of London Cockney and Irish slang,and at times difficult to follow.

    There are numerous translation errors that are annoying,e.g a "grass" is translated as"NL:gras"which means "lawn"in English,Turkey as meaning the country,is translated to"Kalkoen",as the festive bird eaten at Thanksgiving,and many more translations that are clearly out of context.

    Is there a plausible reason for this?

    Is it a Provider issue?

    Anyone else noticed these at times funny translations,also in other languages?

    The English subtitles are AI translated.

    Its happened in 1 second and some years ago groups of friends or someone alone did the English subtitle translate to Dutch or other Language.

    That was a lot of work so now they use AI.

    I already was afraid that it is AI generated,apparently AI is not capable of translating some words in the correct context!

    I just came across :smiling_face: another example; one gangster says to his colleague "search me", and this is translated into Dutch "fouilleer mij",which means as much as "frisk me" in English:winking_face:

    It would be nice if for highly tmbD rated vod/tv-series,the human factor would be reintroduced,be it as a correction of AI translation,as AI is not all that as its not able to edit context.
