Why does my Z7+ indicate 5.02 GB of internal storage? When I go to settings/android/storage I see 1.11GB Used of 5.02 GB. Shouldn't internal storage be 8 GB?

I'm guessing it's the classic case of 'storage' vs 'useable storage'. I'm guessing ~3GB of the 8GB is for Operating System-level stuff. Thus you're left with 5GB of useable storage when you power on the box for the first time. And even pre-installed apps such as MYTVONLINE, Youtube, etc will eat into the 5GB.

While this may be the case I'm wonder if another member of this forum, that has a Z7+, can confirm that their "Internal shared storage" indicates more than 1/3 less internal storage than the box specifications indicate when they go into settings/android/storage?

It`s like seanns32 already told, same on all boxes. Almost 3Gb reserved for OS, updates etc. 5Gb for normal use like Apps etc.

I hope this is the right spot for this, but here goes.
In Android settings under default storage device you can choose between internal and SD card. If you choose SD card why does the system report "UI stopped" and stays in this unusable state until, with great difficulty, you change back to internal.
If this is a bug it should be fixed. If you can never switch then why offer the option?
