Hi, I have recently bought the z8 and was initially impressed by it. Unfortunately after about an hour of using mytvonline which I connect to through a portal my service went off all together and when I spoke to my provider he told me that my ip had been added to his blacklist. To resume viewing he had to flush his blacklist but it just happened again about an hour later. This time I switched my router off and on again which gave me a new IP address and I could resume viewing again. Same thing happened about an hour later. I’ve used firesticks for quite a while now and had no issues with those so switched back to my stick and not had any issues with my ip been added to his blocked list which makes me wonder why the z8 is keep getting my ip added to the blacklist. Any help would be appreciated to resolve this issue as I really like the z8 and would like it not to become an expensive paper weight. Thanks ![]()

2 to connections to provider.

P.s: Correct me if i'm wrong.

Lucky133 Just installed the latest beta. So far so good. I’ll comment if my ip gets added to the blacklist again. Thanks for your reply 👍

As Lucky said - it's because for some reason MyTVOnline2 is making 2 connections to the server. Flood protection kicks in and you get blacklisted. I have the same problem and it's been like this in all betas as well as in the official software which came with the box from the factory. The only solution so far is to use another app to watch live channels.
Definitely not fixed in latest beta. -

I’ve resorted to using stbemu ☹️. The main reason I got the former box was for mytvonline 😭

Have you updated to the latest beta? That issue has been patched.

Yes, using the latest beta.
No, not fixed as it's still happening very often.

i'm sorry to hear that.
I hoped i had a solution. So you got still the problem?
I suggest to use stbemu app for solong.
Then you can watch and enjoy your tv.
Then i hope for you its in the late march official update.

P.s: Correct me if i'm wrong. Will explain this issue again to prevent false informations.
Mytvonline doesn`t open two connections at same time, the problem is MOL2 try to get much faster data from provider then MOL1. On provider side the security script identifies this as flood and block the ip. So this depends also from Provider settings, are they to high =bann, are they lower= no problem.
Many of them lowered the security settings, bigger providers can handle this without problems and smaller providers obvious not.
This can be only fixed with lowering the MOL2 speed, so it is hard to find the golden middle, between ban and happy user who wants fast MOL2.

Did you had same problem my friend?
No I didn't have, but SAM is right if this issue was still present we all would get ip banned. So the best thing to do is to change provider.

If i had that problem i would change provider as well.
We all want fast speed.

Just a curios, how much of affected users use Portal on box and URL (same sub) on another device at same time?
-
I don’t. I Only use portal on the box and my ip keeps getting blocked. I’ve spoken to provider and he says there is no security level setting that can be changed 🤔
-
Same here, I never use the subscription on another box or device. I only use the portal provided (MAC filtered).
Only happens when watching live TV through MYTVOnline2 - sometimes it is as fast as 10 minutes until we are banned. Using IPTVSmarters app on the Z8 which I had to install to prevent it from happening - I can watch for hours without a single problem.
Please give us the option to change (if we want to) whatever is causing the app to request as much data as it currently is. MYTVOnline2 is WAY superior to all other apps, but when you get banned/blacklisted as often it's next to unusable. -

Internet? Telenet in Belgium. It is definitely not ISP or modem related as it only happens in MOL2, on iptvsmarters on the Z8 it doesn’t.

When I received my Z8, I did a quick audit of it's network activity after powering it up and found that it was a bit 'more noisy' than I had expected it to be.
To be fair android devices do tend to be 'noisy' and by that I mean there is always allot of network activity and allot of connections being made to a good many external domains. Sadly it is just the nature of the beast and one of the reasons that I personally typically tend stay away from android and particularly any google dependent version of android. (me being paranoid perhaps, but hey.....).
I did also make a point of telling my IPTV provider that I had a Z8 using MOL2 and asked if there were any known issues or any info they wished to impart. They simply replied that they were aware that MOL2 made 'additional demands' upon the XC API at their end and that they were happy for me to connect using the XC API. Indeed, they recommended using that over using the m3u/xml or MAC address options. The other thing that the bloke said was that he was very jealous of my Z8/MOL2 (he would like to have one for himself) and that in his opinion the combination has 'raised the bar' for IPTV services.
I have not experienced any issues of the kind that many people have described here and can only assume that they are caused as a result of policies applied at the IPTV server end of things, and that they are therefore specific to the IPTV supplier being used.

Are you guys currently hesitating between slowing a little MOL2 and unblock some of your customers ? Please tell me I am misreading something.
