Best settings Formuler Z8 with TV LG Oled oled65e8lla

Hello,

Maybe someone could help me? I have a TV LG Oled oled65e8lla with a Z8 formuler. What are the best video/audio settings to set on my Z8 to get the best video/audio quality on my TV?

HDR10 , Dolby vision, ?

me too I would like to have parameters for the image, I have a QLed screen, and some face on the rosebuds, I'm sure that we can fix it, but it's a bit complicated if we are not expert, thank you for your help, and have a nice day

The best picture can only be set by your self, only your eyes decide what is fine and what not.

Standard settings from the box are in most cases the best choice, but if you are not happy with them, then try to test different settings in HDR and PQ Settings.

New TV`s HDR=Auto

Older TV`s and some users with new tv`s like only =SDR

Hold VFormat button for two sec. PQSetting appear -> Change to Imprex Engine -> here you can set many picture options. If your TV is calibrated well and you made the best picture quality settings on your tv, you can try to turn off some of the digital filters in pqsettings to see if the picture looks better. It is always hard to find best settings for your eyes but at end it`s worth.

As you have almost the same Tv as mine, can I ask you if your "HDMI Ultra HD deep color" is activated on your tv or not? What do you suggest?

Hi,

Yes, on my tv is "HDMI Ultra HD deep color" activated but i have only connected devices in use with 2160/60hz. Not to forget extra HDMI 2.0 cables.

Hi,

I have a Oled LG 65B8

My HDMI Ultra HD deep color is activated.

-HDMI Adaptation off (Z8)

-HDR10 (Z8) activated NOT ON AUTO. HDR is always activated then and will popup on you screen.

I will also try your suggestions. I admit that I expected something better image quality with my new Z8 and LG. It must be a question of settings. It's not easy. I will come back to you with my results:-)

I also tested Dolby Vision (which, of what I read on Internet should be even better than HDR10). But even not really satisfied.

By continuing my setting test, on the formuler Z8, we can select RGB or YcBcR, 4.2.0, 4.2.2, 4.4.4. Is this setting relevant? if yes, which one is the best?

Normally RGB 12 bit 4:4:4 is the best you can choose, if you’re tv support this?

I’m not sure but i think you can only choose RGB 10bit?

Quick update.

I have finally found the settings that give me satisfaction. I have disabled the HDR Permanent Mode and set it to Auto. (with permanent HDR, I had a blurry picture). Then in the display options of the z8 formulator, I drastically increased the saturation. I made some adjustments on my TV (color, brightness) and that's it. I have the image I wanted. If you have any questions, available. I've been doing tests for weeks now and I know exactly which features to enable or disable: -). Of course, this applies to my LG TV and formuler Z8.
