Z8 recording problems

Hi all,

I'm experimenting with recording on my Z8. Firstly I have a 500gb external hard drive connected to USB 3, which I have formatted via the Z8 storage settings.

Firstly as I haved been unable to record future programs from the EPG, I decided to simply press record on the program I'm watching and success it starts recording. However, almost immediately the picture and sound starts to stutter on off each second. I've turned off the recording and the program continues to stutter. The recording itself however is fine.

Any ideas why this is happening please ?

Hi Sam, Thanks for your advice. I understand now that I must format the hard drive with my Windows laptop using the software you have recommended. Thanks again.
