Got myself a USB stick, have formatted it via my Z8, press the record button while watching my programme, says it is recording, but no file appears in my usb stick. Can anyone provide a walkthrough for setting this up please

After the recording ends, access the Recordings Menu from the Main Menu or press the "Playlist" button on the remote.
Do you see your recording listed in the list of Recordings?

Mevi posted the link how to format, please format your usb stick on your pc like explained in this how to. After this is your usb stick ready for recording.
Later record and use mentioned from 175n.
You don't need anything to update, this works perfectly. The key is only right format with rufus tool in ntfs.

Recording via USB works for me but it seems to start recording when I push Stop. When I watch the playlist and want to watch what I just recorded, it starts playing from where I stopped. Very strange, any ideas?
EDIT: it seems to start 10 sec after I start recording. Anything to do with Buffer Time?

I have formatted my keys as instructed, been told I need to update my mytv sub to allow Multiroom
To record? No. Just if you want to record and watch on another app or device then you can update your sub to 1 more line. As you say Multiroom. As you probably know while you are recording you can't watch another channel until the recording ends.

Are you sure, timeshift is enabled? Check again. Timeshift watching with play button or right arrow.
