I bought a MyGica A681 USB ATSC TV when I search I find no channels. I have tried both USB ports. I have moved the antenna. I tried on my laptop it worked fine. Any other ideas?

What do the "Signal strenght" and "Signal quality" indicators say?
If you do a full scan, do you see the strenght and quality indicators change per channel/frequency?
-
Both are 0 I do see them but they stay 0

Which antenna are you using?
Did you move the antenna when you tested with the PC and Z8?

I'm using the same antenna I used on PC and yes I was in a different room. I used the USB dongle with and without a antenna booster. I don't believe that I am getting nothing in that room be cause of the antenna placement. But I can move the laptop into the room and try it again if you would like tomorrow.

Antenna placement is everything. Also your comparison results are inconclusive because you changed more than 1 variable in between tests.

Do I need a booster or not

I took laptop back kept antenna in same spot picked up about 12 channels in laptop

Anyone else have any input? I would be very appreciative.

This doesn't help that the z8 isn't working correctly

I actually have a DVB-T stick also and confirm that it does work as long as I put the antenna outside of the house for the scan to find any channels.
I just did a scan with v7.5.5 and another (unboosted) Antenna (I borrowed one from somebody else just to test) outside the house...
Most frequencies: Signal 0% :: Quality 0%
Some frequencies: Signal 100% :: Quality 53%
Some frequencies: Signal 100% :: Quality 80%
TV Services found: 0
Radio Services found: 0
Based on that result I decided to scan again with v7.5.5 with the original (also unboosted) antenna that I first used some weeks ago, and get completely different results:
Most frequencies: Signal 0% :: Quality 0%
Some frequencies: Signal 100% :: Quality 53%
Some frequencies: Signal 100% :: Quality 80%
Some frequencies: Signal 100% :: Quality 100%
TV Services found: 10
Radio Services found: 18
So with exaclty the same placement of two different unboosted antenna's I get a completely different result!
I've attached pics of the antenna's I've tested with.

Did you use a computer to test the antenna that you got no results with?
-
Not yet anyway.

I just wonder it it is the antenna or the receiver

Is antenna! Many other US customers use already USB ATSC sticks and it works very good. Check also Formuler telegram to share infos with them.

Ok so I see it finds good signal and strength on several channels but it never adds the channel
-
I was able to pick up a few channels with the antenna in the window, I am returning it as it gets super hot. I bid on a hauppauge we will see how that goes thinking about getting an outdoor antenna more info to come

175n told already: Antenna placement is everything. If you don`t use really good antenna and not install this on right place, no joy.
At beginning i tested indoor antenna and was thinking the signal will be very good, was a mistake. Changed first with another one and booster , same issue. Then i found out that i was on living on Signal boarder and need outdoor antenna. With outdoor antenna i get now all existing channels in my area and they work great.
