That's not on google, that's on Netflix certifying the devices.

GoogleTV is the interface and the Google TV launcher for there new branded Chromecast with Android TV.
They run it on Android 10 OS and that launcher.
Most other android tv devices / tvs use the standard leanback launcher for android tv, I have 3 devices here all with same OS and launcher as GTV and the Google one is only one that differs. -
Google TV is not Android TV rebranded. It's a totally new interface. Does not even function the same. I have both, and they are very different.

That's not on google, that's on Netflix certifying the devices.
Google has control over Android TV play store and SHOULD insist that apps on the platform, run on certified Android TV os devices.
Then Netflix or other apps can choose if they want to be on that platform.
