I want to thank Formuler TV for the January giveaway. I have got my CC up and running .Setup was easy no problems at all. The new remote is an awsome upgrade also.
I haven't had the chance to try the ASTC tuner yet as I am waiting to get my OTA antenna installed and wire run. I will update my review once I get it up and running.
I already have 2 Z7's and a Z8 but the CC is already my favorite. Thanks Again Formuler !
The cable or terresterial channel with the ASTC tuner also will satisfy you enough. I hope that you can enjoy more with CC !

Once you get your OTA antenna installed and setup please let me know if the Formuler CC is able to get good guide information for OTA channels. I am currently using a USB ATSC tuner with my Z8 Pro and the OTA channel guide / information is mostly empty. I'm curious if the Formuler CC's internal ATSC tuner works better at acquiring guide info. I know my OTA antenna strength is good and my TV is able to get good OTA guide info.

The "ATSC" tuner can work with internal antenna if this is strong enough and if your Signal tower is in your neighbourhood, otherwise you will have lags and buffering. Please read my review i wrote something about this -> Review about new Formuler CC Box
I would always recommend outdoor antenna with signal multiplier (nothing big 25x25 cm), then you need to calibrate the antenna to get best signal and just enjoy. Please note, to get so much local channels as possible, with perfect signal is good antenna must have. If you invest 40-50€ you will have plenty joy.

That's why I am waiting till I get a good outdoor antenna setup before even trying to scan the channels

I'm waiting for mine new toy. When my Mrs. goes to work I'm getting my ladders out and dragging my Arthritic body up to install aerial, Don't tell her she'll go mad LOL
In April I was rewarded as the winner with a Formuler CC. I already own a Formuler Z8, and I was curious to see if it could get better, and it could be better. All applications run very quickly, and especially the in-house Mytvonline 2 app for Iptv is amazing, great menu navigation and EPG. The surface for VOD is awesome in addition to content information, information, actors with pictures are available. Prerequisite you have a good provider. You can put the box together individually with any apps. The image quality is very good, everything is on board up to 4k. HDR 10 brings out the colors and contrast even better. The best thing is the integrated DVB tuner, you can simply add your regional stations to your favorites

Also widevine 1L , less power consumption , dvb etc etc . Enjoyy
The only thing that is missing for me is the quality signal for DVB channels. For example on my old receiver I could press the info button twice and it would show 92% signal quality of the current channel I am watching. This would help me to move my antenna and get a better reception.
In the regards of antenna reception it can be tricky to find the happy place where you get strong signal for all stations without overloading. I live less than 4 miles from most of my broadcast towers, but have some in other directions. As most stations are UHF which all 4 of these very strong stations are (3-1000kw, 1-665kw), I ended up using a very long, good reception VHF dedicated antenna. Using a very good preamp helps especially with a long cable run in to the home, but also a distribution amp is extremely helpful also. Everyone's situation is different so different applications will apply, but the best thing to do is diagnose the towers & broadcast power/direction. I use Channel Masters preamp & distribution amplifier & am extremely happy with their products. By pointing my antenna to basically throttle down the strong stations to prevent overloading but enable better reception of the low power stations I did find a very good balance of signal using a dedicated VHF antenna, & pointed it closer to the other stations farther off to receive them well.
