  • Hello

Ok so i am new to Formuler devices. Have bought the Formuler GTV and i am happy with my purchase. Having EPG syncing issues with channels. On the device just to check i installed a very popular third party app and have used the same provider and portal information. This other app works flawlessly with EPG, all channels and times are correct from US to UK and other international channels. But when using mytvonline 2 they are not. I have it set to UTC. This seems to make the us channels to be out and when i do the egg offset and correct that the US channels are correct and most of the UK channels then do not even load the EPG...

Also i have noticed if i look at channel info it shows sometimes the right show with the time but then when i go to the full guide it starts to update and then some of the channels change the shows and then they are out of sync with times... Common sense tells me this has to be a software issue and not my provider, as i have mentioned i installed the other app which i have been using for months now and it has been up to date across all the channels.

I will continue to mytvonline2 because i i paid roughly 190euro for the box but could someone help me please. possibly i am missing something or there is some odd fix i am not aware of.And if it is an issue which can only be fixed be the devs... is this something that they are working to rectify.

    Cheers

  • Experiencing the same issue, setting EPG to UTC doesn't solve the problem for me.

When I set EPG offset to 0 and EPG to normal, EPG data in the 'Guide' mode and the EPG channel mode (press "Right" when the info bar is visible) the times are correct. However, when I switch channel, press 'INFO' or press "OK" on the remote control, the program info differs 2 hours from the EPG.

Tried several offset settings (Normal, UTC, several offset values), cleared EPG cache, then (after the EPG data is loaded again) I get various results:

    EPG Normal:

EPG Guide OK, EPG Info OK, Info -2hr

    EPG UTC:

EPG Guide OK, EPG Info OK, Info -2hr

    EPG UTC, offset +2hr:

EPG Guide OK, EPG Info +2hr, Info OK

There seems to be a difference between the EPG of a channel, the EPG in the Guide and the Info (program info in channel list and program info in the info bar).

I have 2x GTV's where this phenomenon occurs.

    Any way to fix this?

Latest updates are installed, current versions:

    Firmware v10.0.15

    IPTV v10.0.17

    Service v10.0.15

    Tuner v10.0.17

    Storage v10.0.15

    Thanks in advance!

  • Im with exactly the same problem for a long time. Still not fixxed

  • Epg UTC + 2

Try epg normal +2:00 short of that you will need to study the source, as you post comes up short with this setting

  • But if it be from source it has to be fould in guide and channel list epg. Its same source. The strange this is when i delete epg cache it is both ok. After 1 or 2 minutes the channel epg changes back - 1 hour and guide stays good. Also at channel epg and then epg single option is in gppd sync so only channel epg is going back 1 hour. Thats strange is't it?

  • Yes i know. The strange thing is that when you do epg database reset its good and after a short time the channel epg is going back 1 hour. The guide stays ok

The problems with EPG are still not solved, it has been reported by several users in differnt threads.

Read this thread: MY EPG show no information at all not on the guide or the channel being watched

    Formuler Z11 Pro Max & Z11 Pro Max BT1 | XCAPI portal | Firmware 11.3.3 and MOL 12.1.15

Location Netherlands GMT +1 (Summer time)

  • Hi,Ronaldjan, Joeyg is referring to mol2 and GTV,so I think the thread, your pointing to is not relevant for GTV users

  • What i found is when i put time back to normal settings so automaticly and time zone +1 in Android box settings.

After that in mol2 i set offset +1 (netherlands?) and putt of the catchup in grid it works like a charme. So there is a sofware fould with this function.
