Install Audio Optimizer from Market and execute once (with box reboot) if not already installed through MOL2.

Already done that shows Auto on this. Only other format is none.

I guess Dolby digital will not be added to this for a while?

My stereo supports dolby digital but this does not come up as an option in sound on the box is there a reason why?
-
Any solutions on this?

You wrote that audioptimizer is installed and executed, so it should work.
Do you also change in live tv to DD audio- track if audio streamed in dd, same in vod?
-
In the settings for sound only Auto shows up, No Dolby digital is there.

Did you try like in post #7?

Yes still does not work.

Yes still does not work.
DD should show up as it is supported in Z10 Pro Max natively.
Please provide a video that shows the exact issue for further investigation. You can upload the Image/Video file here: https://streamable.com/ > Upload file > Copy link > Paste the link with your reply.
Make sure the video includes the following:
Go to Audio optimizer, select reload and reboot the device. Then go to Settings > Device Preference > Sound > Select formats > set to None and then Auto and see if codecs show up.
Also, please let us know the brand/model name of your soundbar if you're using one.

That's a strange one,im running my z10 to my marantz avr with latest z10 firmware,dd/dtshd/truehd/atmos all show up on mines,id recommend you do a reset
-
-
Do you use hdmi or toslink for your soundbar
-
HDMI to my tv SPDIF to stereo. maybe i will try a factory reset.
-
Did a factory reset still the same on the audio.
-

Model/brand of AVR?
I guess for me this will not be resolved.
Change the setup to Formuler - AVR - TV using HDMIs on both and see if there's any change.

I have tried z10promax directly to 4k tv and optical out to A/V reciever only get stereo sound.
Also tried z10 directly to 4k reciever and then to tv all via hdmi, still only get stereo sound.
Also tried arc on hdmi, still only stereo sound.
The list of audio options on auto shows dolby digital, dts etc. But the actual channels on live TV and video on demand only show 2 channel stereo.
No channels have anything but stereo sound no matter if its hdmi or optical. Even the youtube app doesn't get 5.1 on test videos.
Already tried soft reset, factory reset, reinstalled audio app and iptv app.
Will this be fixed via software update? Has anyone had dolby digital on their z10 pro max work? Wondering if any formuler works so I can return this one and get surround sound.

It seems here is some misunderstanding! Even if we discussed many times in different threads, the same questions appear.
One example in this thread:
QuoteAttached pics my receiver ts a Yamaha HTR-5940.
Answer: Fact is, this Audiostream (picture) deliver only Stereo, no AC3, no 5.1 and no 7.1.
So, you can not expect to get on such channel, with such Audiostream, DD in all possible formats.
There is only DD Audio-Track, where is also dd inside. DD is coded and Stereo just simple uncoded format, big difference.
Second problem is, if some user want to Passtrough some Audio format from z10 to tv with hdmi and then with optical cable to AVR. In many cases will the AVR not recognise the Audio as such stream (because of this bypass, settings, config or even working old firmware on AVR) and deliver only stereo. Normal should be, Z10 connected with HDMI to AVR, AVR over ARC to TV or Box to newer TV and TV passtrough over ARC HDMI to AVR. In both configurations the box settings must match with tv Audio settings and AVR to direct sound.
Third, Youtube material is in 95% only stereo! Will not explain this again in detail, research in web will deliver many articles about that.

Are there any channels on live TV or vod that have something other than AAC, 2 channel stereo? That is the only audiostream I've seen on every channel I've tested. I have glo if that makes a difference. Even premium movie channels show 2 channel stereo.
Anyone seen another audiostream?
Upgrading to an 8k atmos reciever soon, but seems useless if everything will be simulated surround sound.
-
audio stream and format is provider dependent...
-
I wouldn't get hung up about dolby digital, pcm will sound better
-
Maybe but when i use netflex from my tv App D/D does work.
-
Bringing up an old thread but on VOD I get DD but it still does not show on my receiver. I get DD on netfix on my TV & also DD on my Attena is their a reason why this will not show up on the Z10 Pro max?
-
AVR over ARC to TV i still do not get DD ? When I have DD on the movie it still does not show up on the box? My stereo supports it i get it with Netflix plus my TV with antenna. I use to get it with my Z8 not sure why I do not get it with the Z10.
-
I guess this box for me will not get 5.1 even when it shows on VOD. Even under developer setting on sound nothing will change this with every single setting their is.
-
Audiophile99 as was suggested by 64pippo the audio stream and format is provider dependent. I have Z11 pro max and two providers and on the same channel from the two providers, one gives dolby atmos and the other dolby digital. I don't know if other have similar experiences. On the VOD section I do get dolby atmos. I don't have a Z10. Hope this helps.

I understand regular tv is not dd but some VOD is which i cannot get on my Z10 max for some reason. Everything i have tried has not changed that.I still cannot get a clear answer why. After almost 1 year with the same question which i cannot get a reason why this box will still not support DD. Any one give me a clear answer why.
