mol3 is only for formuler z11 pro/pro max.
I know yeh only z11 but after using gtv with android TV I can't go back to a normal box love the android TV set up
hi
May I ask why you prefer the GTV?

future outcomes are:
1. they may decide to make a mol3 version of the gtv
2. they could give the gtv an update to include mol3 and android 11.
gtv always cost more so the business will have to look at the feasibility
I Just cant wait!
My tvs are dumb and gtv is the best

I sincerely doubt they can update SOC S905x2 to Android 11...
Probably another GTV box with SOC S905x4 would be my prediction!!!

noted, I was refering to a new generation of hardware for the gtv
but base on pattern release the z series usually get the most attention to updates for both hardware and software.

Updating Android version for this boxes is a pain in the ass, not only in making it stable, but they need to buy new certifcations if i'm not mistaken. So better to release a new box with updated hardware and using the new Android TV version being used by the competition...
I would bet Android Tv 12 will be the new mainstream, but only GCCTV has it for now and it's kinda buggy... To put Android TV 12 or even 11 in a S905X2 SOC without the ability to decode AV1 and the new Dolby Vision stuff...I personally don't think it's worth!!
certification pains like long process requirements, and fees can be a obsticle to creaters
features like dolbi also has license fees.
that's why cut backs are made to balance profits to creator and afordability to customers.
