Audio issue with Z11 Pro MAX

  • Opened a brand new Z11 PRO MAX yesterday and installed the latest available software and firmware updates.

    Firmware version: 11.2.6 (May 31, 2023)

    V10.10.18-163-0237208

    MYTVO3: 11.2.24 HOTFIX

    Initially when setting up my IPTV portal and server link I got it working and had perfect video picture and audio. Once I had setup and tested my external HD for recording and storage, upon playback there was no audio. At this point I checked the live channels and VOD also was getting no audio output. Checked Z11 PRO MAX device audio settings, Surround Sound set to disabled. Device audio is turned on and full volume.

    Before the issues started I was browsing live channels and was prompted to install Audio Optimizer and loaded it onto the device.

    I tried restarting the device multiple times but still no success. I also tested playing YouTube videos through the app in Android and I was getting no audio. Device power setting is set to Power Off not Standby. I’m also running a VPN, but I don’t think that would interfere or cause this sound issue.

    Verified the issue was not with my provider or TV/audio systems, as I have another IPTV box with same account and server connected and everything was working OK.

    At this stage of troubleshooting I factory reset the device and then repeated the same steps from startup:

    Installed available updates when prompted and rebooted.

    Setup MYTVO3 and correct server info.

    With the same results, no audio output via HDMI in the MYTVO3 app or YouTube. Reinstalled Audio Optimizer but still no luck.

    Late last night I gave up, left it powered off overnight and then when I powered on this morning everything was working! Live TV audio, VOD audio, Recording audio and YouTube audio and other apps. Not sure what happened but thought I’d share.

    Maybe was something wrong with TV HDMI Signal and after new powering the HDMI Signal shake between box and TV worked again fine. Did you connected the cable from new box or used older/already connected HDMI Cable?

  • I was just about to post about the exact same problem. Z11 Pro Max hijacks system audio. No sound from MyTv3 nor from other sources connected to my TCL Roku TV.

    Have to unplug the Formuler, and restart the TV to recover sound. Tried every troubleshooting procedure I could find (multiple times) and no luck. About to pack up my unit and return it for a refund.

    Sure would be nice to get a resolution, because it’s a great box otherwise.
