  • Hi all,

Last night, I unplugged my GTV whilst it was running (usual MO2) to move it to another room. Once I connected the power and HDMI, I could see the light turn on but no video output at all. The TV is detecting that there is a HDMI input connected but no video output whatsoever. Tried with multiple HDMI cables including some new ones and the same. I tried to connect it back to the original TV and again the same, and also tried at least 2 other HDMI monitors. I've also noticed that the remote doesn't connect instantly via Bluetooth and the orange amber light is on. I've tried doing a hard reset by using a pin in the IR out but again no luck.

It looks like the box is now brain dead with no video/audio output whatsoever. I had upgraded to the 12.1.1 firmware 5 days before, so only that comes to mind. Can anyone help me fix this please? I have no idea what to try next.

  • Hi,

i don`t think the reason is the update because it sounds like hdmi recognising is not ok and that depends from hardware too (both tv and box), esp. the last connect with first Tv should work but it doesn`t. How did you turn off the box last time before move to second room?

How ever, do you have maybe similar power supply to replace?

Try also to leave the box for 15Min. without connected power, connect with first tv and last working HDMI Cable but this time to other TV HDMI port. If all of this doesn`t work, please contact seller and use guarantee.

Put your gtv back to the "working" tv.

Go to android settings, and then look for screen settings.

Use 720p setting or automatic best hdmi output and then try again. So it should work on "older" screens.

Maby you moved from a 4k tv to other screens who doenst work with that ssettings. Same as color settings. Give it a try please.

  • Thanks for the responses guys. Yeah I have no video output on any TV device whatsoever. It sucks because I got the GTV on launch and this is out of warranty now.

I tried to leave it disconnected for over a day and no luck. Tried 2 other power supplies - I have 2 GTVs so tried a different original power supply also and the same.

SAM I originally disconnected the power supply the first time by removing the power cable from the box whilst GTV was running on MO2, the TV was on.

Is there no USB debug mode on the box that can be used to try a flash it or hard reset or something? It's essentially a brick at this point. Time to buy a new one maybe? Bit disappointed.

I've already tried this with no luck, see original post. There's no video output so I can't even tell if its going to that android reset screen. I assumed it might be and tried to navigate using just the remote control based on the video to the reset option but no luck.

  • Sorry to say, but it seems the box is damaged. Sorry i don`t have better news for you.
