Formuler Z12 switches to Dolby Vision-mode while watching SD-content

Hi,

I own a Formuler Z 12 Ultra since yesterday and I am really satisfied until now. One thing I just noticed is, that there maybe a bug with adaptive HDR/Dolby Vision.

I watch a series ("Married with kids", which is from the 80s and 90s, so clearly SD content) inside the Emby-App for android. But at the beginning of an episode the Formuler is switching to Dolby Vision-mode.

This only happens with Formuler Z 12, with other boxes everything is fine so I think, it is a bug inside Formuler Firmware. I also tested with external player (Vimu Player) and Formuler is also switching to DV-mode inside this player.

Has someone noticed something like that before?

What says the info of the content, did you check?

thanks for your answer. I uploaded a screenshot of the infos about the content, hope it helps

I did another test. My IPTV provider has the same content and I played it in MYTVOnline 3, the same result. It switches to DV-mode.

what are your settings on Box -> Adaptive or HDR? Did you tested also with other settings?

Hi,

it is set to Adaptive. Other settings work like they schould.

Off --> displays it in SD mode

HDR10 --> displays it in HDR10 mode

DV --> displays it in DV mode also

HLG --> displays it in HLG mode

So only adaptive picks the wrong mode.

Normally it was working fine until I started watching this series. Every other content was displayed in correct mode.

I've the same issue. If I manually set the display mode and not let it switch itself it works fine. But if it's set to adaptive it gets confused. Sometimes it locks the box up completely and needs turning of and on again . This was tested with Plex , stremio and syncler.

Let me know the tracking number after sending the logs.

Please double check if the tracking # is correct as well.

I just sent it again. Trackingnumber was correct in the first place: So it is Tracking#:0000001FE913D

Do you get the 'logs sent' message after sending the logs? It seems like we still haven't received it.

You can try sending it again through control panel > help center

Also, please let us know the brand/model of your TV.

It displays only a "sending logs" message, nothing like "logs sent"...

Temporary fix: set in android settings hdr to "off" and not adaptive. Or

To hdr10?

2. Enter the appropriate access code, then press the red box button
3. Start Download
