    Mxplayer it's the problem itselfs. The passthrough don't work for years.

    Vlc player on Z12 and Novaplayer works, but if you speed forward the movie, it's glitchy yes and will hang with a terrible hard scratching sound, and color become strange and go back to desktop or reboot after 20 seconds.

    So i use kodi so long, till update of vlc player or nova player or Z12 firmware.

    If you are using wifi, please try connecting the device with ethernet, and let me know if the issue remains.

    With wifi and with ethernet it could happen i read above.

    I had it too the first times, after 5 factory resets it happen almost no more. If it will do i sent logs too.

    The devs will fix it. They are great.

    Hello, I haven’t had any restarts since my last message but a new problem occurred. Three days ago, when I was about to go to sleep, I turned off the TV using the TV remote, and when I tried to turn off the Z12 with its remote, nothing happened. I turned the TV back on, but it was as if I had unplugged the HDMI cable from the Z12. I had to unplug the power to return to normal operation.
    Today, with the Z12 turned off, I tried to turn it on with the remote, but nothing worked again. Similarly, I had to unplug and plug the power back in to restore normal operation.

    Try next time if your tv and box won't start, take out battery from remote and put it back in. Try again if box and tv goes on. I have something similar that after some time side volume not work and or tv cannot power on by formuler remote.

    When i take off one battery, and put it back in remote it works again?

    Strange behavior with my Z11 pro to. I think its a Mol3 or android problem. Today i was in the kitchen watching f1 show for about 1 hour nothing more and suddenly the box restart out of itself. Yesterday and last week to. 2/3 times i do nothing only watch a serie and there it goes. I think its something in android patch or the mol3 program. Or the the hardware/chipset is gonna crazy something like that. But i think there is a software problem.

    Apologies F_Peter. I was just confirming that I don't have any reboots connected to wi-fi as I don't use ethernet connection. I am not experiencing any reboots and the only apps I use on my Z12 is Nord vpn. I have nothing connected to my Z12 and thought you knowing this might help solve the issues people are experiencing with reboots using Z12.

    I too am suffering from this rebooting issue on my Z12, on WiFi (can’t get an Ethernet cable to my location), it hits at various times. I had nothing extra loaded other than what came from factory and reboots happened (nothing in USB ports either, just HDMI and power plugged in). I tried with ExpressVPN turned off and on, no diff. I loaded TiviMate (which is easier to use than MyTV3 imo), same thing, random reboots. Looked for the beta that supposedly fixes the issue and it’s still not up. I need a fix soon otherwise I have to return to Amazon. Shame, it shows a lot of promise.

    Please wait for the (new) beta/final version anouncement by SAM please...

    No bugs at all before and after installing beta.

    Z12 works very good.

    But hopefully wait for a MOL3 update with some new features to edit the interface likely as some options in tivimate would be great!

    It's a know issue and will be fixed in upcoming update.

    Not all user are being affected. I had totally no reboots.

    It was already fixed in beta version say some forum users.

    But beta is offline due a problem in it.

    Hold on my friend till new beta update and or official update is coming.

    I hope for you and others it comes in the last week off december.

    Otherwise it should be january. please be patient and hold on.

    Everything will be okay.

    I bought a S12 for a couple of days ago!


    And my box is also random reboots 2-3 times per day using MOL3. Even sometimes using youtube..


    And another fail is when i self choose to reboot the box.Then im out of internet. Even if i toogle on the wifi it does not found any wifi.

    But if i reboot it again then the wifi will be there. And that is always the same syndrome when i want to reboot the system. I takes 2 reboots for the wifi to be there.

    But if i instead chose to shut the box down and start it again,then the wifi is always there.

    The box and apps are updated.And i havent done a factory reset.


    I am in europe and have a good wifi and router.


    My Z8 did sometimes throw me out of series but never shut down and selfstart like this Z12.

    The fix is within the upcoming update.

    Date unknow... unfortunately.

    Anf then comes christmas and new years eve and also after that chinese new year. So hopefully for the affected users i hope they bring the old beta online and or a new beta.

    A new week begins, so lets hope for it.

    I can also confirm that when I restart my Z12, the Wi-Fi disappears. When I go to the settings, I can see that it is disabled, but when I enable it, nothing happens.
    A simple second restart solves the problem.

    For my part, I haven't noticed any random restarts so far, so I guess I'm lucky, haha.

    The developers have a lot of work to do for the next update, so good luck to them 💪🏼

    It's really strange to see this behavior differ for each person.
    It's also a little worrying to see that this hasn't been resolved in the beta, but as you say, maybe the issue will be resolved in the next beta.

    My Z12 was doing this every few hours on WiFi. I grabbed a small Gigabit Ethernet switch and put it on that along with my cable box. Low and behold, the Z12 is now stable. The rebooting issue in my case is caused from using WiFi, not applications. Still I look forward to the fixed release.
