You need extra link/url under same m3u connections for epg xml to work. Ask your provider to give it to you.

Create on your USB Stick file folder "M3U" and copy the file inside. Then under connections lead mol2 to this file.

I did exactly as I said but it still did not work ... I never got the EPG to work either MOL1 or MOL2 ...

Check EPG offset. If the offset is wrong, the EPG could appear to be empty because it is shifted off screen.
Also, you really need to be using the download URL for the xmltv file. The local file you are using is probably already too old.

I use m3u link with epg link through XE. Works perfect.
