FW1.4.22 -SW 7.2.2 Update for Z8 (23.07.2019)

Hello, I'm new on this forum.

I have since 1 month the Formuler Z8 with MOL2 via portal and happy with it (despite some minor issues)
Today updated my Z8 with the latest software. I noticed that i have now much more still images which i "almost" not had before (live TV)

One thing i can't figure out is how to start a current live event from the beginning. I've tried the cloud timeshift button but i get something from another channel and not the beginning of the program i like to see what already started.
Can someone explain what to do? Thanks.

The cloud timeshift ist not working. I become every time. A error message. Try again later....

Have had a Z8 for only 2 weeks. An awesome product!

Can see many of the new features with the update. The EPG is loading much faster with more info at later times. But unable to find the feature to set recording frequency or manual timer recordings. Guidance will be appreciated!

When i try to use backup, the app crash "try again"

I´ve done a factory reset and got the same result.

why i don't have the cloud timeshift Button in my infobar? Channels have cutchup.

What you need is small 2GB USB stick, formatted with FAT32. The stick should be empty, insert into box and restart the box once (other devices from box disconnected!), then go into Backup menu and start with backup.

Cloud timeshift is working! But only on channels with catchup feature, with XC Api and MAC/ID Stalker.

Check your Time, region and if needed EPG Normal or EPG UTC Settings, to be sure all is set right from your side.

Channel-> Info Button -> Cloud Timeshift

Works if you can see in EPG this symbol.

I see the button. But if I push the bottom. I became the erro massage.

. Pls try again later. I have the catch up service by my Provider . And it's works fine but not the cloud timeshift.

I just updated my Z8 to the latest update, and have been having nothing but issues. MyTVOnline2 isn’t responding message is basically constant. If I by chance am able to open it, I cannot change channels, EPG shows no information. Trying to close the app gives me another error message, Leanback Launcher isn’t responding. Home screen is mostly frozen, cannot go up or down. This awesome box from a few hours ago just became useless piece of garbage.

Any ideas? Anyone else having issues?

In Mac ID Portal i dont have the Timeshift and in XC Api i have it! What can i do to have it in Mac ID Portal?

I'm too chicken to install beta software on my z8 but the new features/fixes look fantastic! Super stoked to upgrade my box!

Cloud timeshift is not working with one of my MAC subs, the icon does not even appear.

I'm on the latest official release. Catch-up with this sub, on the same channel(s) works perfectly.

Can I capture some logs or do something else to help diagnose this issue?

i did the factory reset but the Symbol is Not there.

i have the z8 with this update and everything is fine however i gave you some changes that i would like to see:

-When in standby the box stays with orange light and not red ( so we could see the difference by looking at the box) from turn off mode
-Include cloud timeshit on epg pink menu (epg hotkey) by giving a hotkey like you have the record +1day -1day etc hotkeys. -
Sometimes when i boot up the box i can see a gray menu with loading just before the apps main menu appear this is fast but its strange it flashes so fast so i see the android in black then the gray menu then main menu i tink you could take the gray menu by just loading on the previous one

The new update is brilliant, but 1 little set back. I've noticed that my epg tells me that a programme is on at say 9pm and then 11pm or back to back and it's not 🤷🏻‍♂️ just some food for thought.. its effecting the recording capabilities on my end.

Now watching F1 Bix suddenly restarted itself! Black screen with android logo appeared and after 15sec came back too the launcher and that’s it!

This feature is basically 24h server-side timeshift in one stream/file. Please ask your provider if this is supported or not. If not, would explain missing icon.

I dont think its a problem by provider! Same provider with z7+ and i have in mac portal and xc api portal timeshift!

Only on z8 in mac portal there is no icon for

timeshift in mac portal! In xc api portal i have the icon why this!?

i have this update and i see on changelog that ipv6 is turned off by default, however it sometimes appears to get it when i came from standby mode
Also you should update the android security patch level to the most recent december 2018 is on the last update that you provide.

Before the Update I was pleased with my Z8, afterwards I was very pleased. Then having read on here about the recommended Factory Reset, I decided to do it. What a difference it has made! Improved the box even more and I am now delighted with it. It is well worth the time it takes to set up the box again after the Reset, believe me!
