Z Alpha - Bluetooth option not there.

Hiya All,

I recently purchased a Z Alpha, and connected it to a Bluetooth keyboard. All fine for a week or so.

However, now the keyboard is no longer connected but also no Bluetooth option is available - if I press the Bluetooth icon from the Home Screen, it just takes me to the settings menu. If I go via the Settings icon, Bluetooth is no longer an option.

I’ve purchased another Z Alpha for another room and the Bluetooth option is there and it connected to the keyboard fine. If I go to the Bluetooth icon, the option to add another device/accessory is there as expected.

I’ve factory reset the first box but the Bluetooth option is still no longer there.

Any ideas?

Hiya,

I’ve just paired a GTV-BT1 Bluetooth remote to my 2nd Alpha, the one that Bluetooth was working.

I’ve restarted the box, and now Bluetooth is missing from that one now too!

I’ve tried the UI setting - no luck.

I do not know what the molcfg tool is, so haven’t touched that.

In the About > Status menu in the Settings, it says Bluetooth Address: Unavailable.

This is absolutely crazy.

There is no longer any Bluetooth option in the Setting menu - now on 2 boxes.

This is the Settings menu - accessed via Settings shortcut, or Bluetooth shortcut.

Bluetooth options are missing.

Yep, that is activated.

I’ve toggled it off, and restarted. I’ve kept it on, and restarted. No luck.

That’s great that it seems a fix will be coming.

I shall try the steps suggested.

Just checked and I have NOT got the Audio Optimiser app installed on either box.

It is available to download from the Market, but it is not on the boxes.

Yep - the Beta software update has worked.

I now have Bluetooth back on my 2 Alpha boxes.
