How is the Z8 pro connected? WiFI or Lan
Are you using a VPN?
Might be worth checking other options before factory reset.
My Z8 Pro doesn't have this problem
No VPN and connect with ethernet. 500mbits line, should be more than enough

Simple options first - try a different LAN cable and run speed tests.
Also check with ISP if there is a problem.

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean?
If there is a ISP problem wouldn't it just don't work at all?
If there is a interference on the network problem what do I ask them to do?
If I go for a reset to see if it helps do I do a factory data reset or software data reset?
I can watch a channel and suddenly it just freezes and everything stops working and I have to disconnect and connect back with my provider to get it to work

With virginmedia - Hub 3 router has a test function, login and this test tells you if there is a problem with devices connected to the router.
On their website, they have a network test for your area.
Oct 20, my wifi kept dropping and router test showed a problem. The test on virgin website said there was a problem with interference on network in my area causing issues with my connection.
No issues after they sorted out the problem.
Ask your isp to run tests on your connection.
The fastest way to find the reason for this freezes is:
1. Install Tivimate app and use your subscription one day with this app to see if the issue comes from provider or your box. If same freezes the box is out and the ISP or Provider is the issue.
2. Try with other provider 24h trial connection to compare how the box works. I bet it will work different.
3. Try all 3 protocols, MAC/ID Portal, XC Api Portal and m3u Playlist.
4. You can also test with static ip to see if it works better and set buffer to higher value 10.
5. If issue still exist, ISP and Network check, but in most cases if you can watch Youtube smooth for a wile with your box, the inet con. should be ok.
guess its the ddr problem if you tried all of method already , contact to your reseller and ask for repair if your z8 warranty remains
