    what is going on

    have bought Dreamlink/formuler boxes and recently the Z8 that works fine. and upgraded another z8 box to z10 pro max that works fine

    bought a new Formular Z10 pro max -

    No go - says only valid in USA ??????? seller shipped from USA to Europe and said nothing about it not working in Europe

    what is going on? Are you now selling boxes for specific regions ???? or USA only

    please tell me what is going on

    I bought my Formuler boxes on USA Amazon and they work

    so I was going to upgrade my z8 box to a z10 max pro in Dec 2021. no problem

    but now in aug 2022. I was going to upgrade another z8 to z10 pro max -- bought on USA Amazon.

    but live in Iceland - plugged in new z10 pro max. - boom Only runs in USA it says or something towards that affect

    Returning box - seller said nothing about a USA box only - and shipped to Iceland


    see Amazon UK has box - but no one seems to know if a box in UK works in Europe and Iceland - So far I see nothing on Formuler website about this

    I am running 2 Formuler boxes in Iceland / Europe. few years back was running a Dreamlink in Europe so not sure it Dreamlink is for USA only

    yes Dreamlink and Formuler are same box but If I am guessing right then a new firmware update is causing this -

    I bought a new Formuler z10 pro max -

    plugged in the box - set Wifii and it discovered my ip - ran the media app and it worked fine -

    then seen that it had a red icon under firmware - so downloaded and installed

    ran speed check after. - 10 seconds into it. box displayed a msg Shutting Down This product is not for sale outside North America. Contact your seller and it shutdowns the box. !!!!!

    so my guess lots of users are going to their boxes stop working. !!!!!! according to what I can see is. it shows Regulatory. CA UK. so will only run in Canada and Uk

    although Dreamlink.ca thinks box will run in USA - but to regulatory page there is no mention of USA. - Only CA and UK

    someone know what is going on

    Spoke with a Formuler distributer =. he said the Maker changed firmware in march to block the use

    so now there seems to be 2 specific models - USA and Canada only. and then UK version he thinks works for Europe. but did not know for sure which countries included

    he has been greatly affected by this - sadly

    there is nothing on the official website that describes this. and International buyers keep getting burned and Europe customers getting burned

    very unprofessional it is back to DVD region codes times - where will it end - New York City has one model and Bronx another model

    so if you live in Europe do not buy from USA and if you are traveling in Europe do not buy a UK model

    NA Boxes are restricted to NA (USA, Kanada) and have no business on EU Market or some else. NA, Europe etc. have each own Distributors and Distributor from NA can not sale on other Markets that belongs to other Distributors. Simple marketing business.

    Wrong. Dreamlink is other Brand made for NA Distributor, but made from same manufacturer. Formuler Brand is manufacturers own Brand.

    That is sellers fault, he should know that if he sale boxes from NA Distributor he should also warn buyers out of NA.

    EU boxes works also in Iceland.

    Like i already say Dreamlink is other Brand from NA Distributor and only NA Distributor sale Dreamlink Brand, so such boxes should work also out of NA. Formuler Brand is something else, more Distributors worldwide and different regio. must be respected from Distributors.

    Only two, NA and for rest of the world.

    It says sometime Europe and sometimes EU.

    are we saying only EU countries or European countries ? like ICELAND - does a UK version work there

    we always consider Swiss a part of Europe bu they are not in EU

    I am only aware of the CA and UK boxes. - CA being North America - so Canada and USA

    of course UK for the UK box - so is the so called UK box for Europe ?

    or is there a box for each European country

    EU, entire Europe all same and again, yes UK box will work in Iceland except from power supply, because UK use other power supply then rest of Europe. What you use in Iceland i don`t know. Hope this explains all.

    Taking advantage of this post, living in South America, I don't think there is any authorized dealership in the area, or is it?

    In this case, if importing one from Europe, it should work here, right ? Only the ones from the USA/Canada have geo-restrictions ?

    It is my understanding that the boxes can be used anywhere in the world without any restrictions.

    As mentioned in the previous post, the only thing to consider is the power supply. However; it is highly likely there is a converter or “travel” adapter that is more than suitable to be used in this case.
