Hi, having a problem(another...) with my new z11 pro max.
Tried several pendrive and ssd drives and after a while the message appears.
Only solution is to reboot or unplug / plug the storage again....
Anyone having this problem?

I've seen the message although it wasn't related to your issue. I had no usb devices connected, but i've added smb server in storages and while watching a movie from there in kodi i got that message and video stopped for a second and returned right away...
Not a big deal because i have NFS server for Kodi and it works without issues...

Please install Rufus on your PC and format your USB drives to the above formats and try again.
Here is the instruction on formatting USB drives using Rufus.

the problem is not how the the ssd or pendrives are formated!
same storage was used in my z8 and everything ok.
formated with rufus , probmem still there.
the problem must be the z11 firmware.
timeshift also acts very weird in this box

Must say that i really don`t understand why this happen on your side! I m using for many tests over ca.10 usb sticks and two ssd`s on Z11 boxes and have never, never any disconnect. If the usb stick is formatted (for use on Z11 format again) exactly like in my article with Rufus, the recognising and use of this stick should work like intended (on all Formuler boxes).
Please check all settings GPT, MBR, NTFS etc. all settings like on picture and try again. The USB Stick should also have just one partition. If this not lead into success, please think about other usb stick, sd card or ssd.

After the recent update, Z11 Pro Max, i can not play videos from my external hardrive,.
External harddisk with content is not visible! Both USB slots i have tried, without a positiv result,.
Mediamanager +VLC player do not see the content,..

HDD is formatted with? With videos you mean recordings or saved films on same hdd?

Before i have a Z10 Pro Max, and it functioned perfekt,. On the HDD i have a lot saved films/videos almost 2 Tb, mostly MP4 format.
I have no recorded from Z11 Pro Max on it. It has a SUPERSPEED USB 3.0 connector. i do not see how it is formatted,.its hidden,.?!?

I would not directly point to USB port fail but if you tested so much different sticks+ FR, then it could be that something is really wrong with the usb port. Second possible reason could be fluctuating power supply. If you have some from other formuler box , replace and test. If same, then it is the box usb port and you should contact your seller for warranty.

I agree i tried also usb stick with this firmware and he cant see the stick.
I have backup on it and it says emty storage.
When i put in pc then i see the backup files.
It had worked before on other firmware before this one.

I am not English native speaker/writer . So sorry if that sounded offensive.
What I meant was if you understand what I found out about the problem. The pen is there, file explorer see it, storage settings see it.
If I wake up the box and go straight to mytvonline3, timeshift doesn't work.
If I clear recent program and open again mytvonline3, timeshift works fine.
I have a z8 and an alpha and they work great. I am a little disappointed with z11 pro max...

- Yes I did a factory reset more than once.
- Protocol: Stalker
USB3.2 GEN 1 formatting method:
With my PC in fat32 and NTFS
With Rufus in Fat32 and NTFS
None of the 4 models worked
The key is perfectly functional on any device (Z8-Pro / Z10 Pro Max / PC / etc.) But not on the Z11 Pro Max
At some point (without knowing why) the USB3 key appeared in my storage equipment (after a factory reset) and I even managed to make recordings on it…
But after a few starts from the standby of MyTvOnline3, everything is gone again.Also I noticed that even if the USB3 key is not connected, it is still identified in the MyTvOnline3 settings (dvr option) but not in the Z11 equipment storage settings.
Thanks for reading my findings...

4 tb hdd formuler z11 pro sees now this 4tb where to copy and format with rufus,why don't other players want rufus formatting completely nonsense

1. This can occur due to mount issue.
Kindly remove storage via the safely eject option in settings or power off the box then remove storage to prevent this.
2. It can also occur if the device has a short.
