Can't Record with MTVOL3 and what's and timeshift???

I have formatted USB stick the MTVOL3 recognizes it but I always get Warning recording error (1) if I hit the record button. I have tried scheduled recording too but no luck.

In settings it shows recording storage destination USB (64 GB).

Any help would be appreciated because as of now I have to record using Tivimate when I'd rather just use MTVOL3 for everything.

I have Timeshift in the on position but have no clue as to what it does since I can't watch then go back if I missed something or pause anything.

I love the MYTVOL3 but I can't find a good instruction read or video to really learn what I all can do with this great unit.

Thanks Sam. Once I let the box do the formatting recording works great. I have timeshift turned on but I still really don't understand what it is or does though.

What Is TimeShift?:

It is a function you can use to temporarily save the program you are currently watching to a USB HDD, so you can play back any scenes you might miss while watching TV. This function allows you to continue watching from where you were previously if you go out for a while.

Important: Each channel change stops temporarily created file, delete old and create from new channel.

here is a question...when i shut down w/ stand by after setting a recording ..sometimes doesnt record ..i formatted usb flash drive w/ rufus tool..everthing is set right ..for some reason im thinking maybe z11 when turning on its not picking up my wired connection right away..therefore recording maybe not starting causing timer recording not showing up..can this be corrected ..also this was before the new beta update

also if i leave Z 11box on the recording its fine ..& does it matter if Timeshift on or off w/ setting recording

With single sub connection you have to leave the box in peace when recording, pressing on standby stops the recording (request to optimise this is already forwarded).

In some cases if there are issues with Sticks, could deactivating Timeshift help but if all works fine the Timeshift should not be the issue.

I Have 3 connection service...that shouldnt be an issue...i set a recording tonight w/ box left on & timeshift disabled..will post later if errors

well by leaving box on & timeshift off my recording was perfect.. well i guess i'll use this method...so by leaving z11 pro max on doesnt hurt..Right ??

1. you can leave box on or set on standby

if you schedule a recording and the unit is on standby it will come off standby for the schedule then return to standby.

2. certain brand of flash chip(drives and cards) you have to disable timeshift for recording to work better.
