Z11 Catch Up out of sync with EPG

Since we changed the clocks - I've been having problems with catch up TV on my Z11 box (my Z8 is working fine though).

EPG is totally aligned to the programs I am watching so 6 o'clock news is shown as starting at 6 o'clock.

However - if I try and watch the 6 o'clock news via catch-up - I am shown the TV program that occured at 7 o'clock

So even though the EPG is totally correct (and has been refreshed many times and is not offset in any way) - catch up seems to be selecting the wrong file to playback.

So to watch the 6 o'clock news I've got to select a program from the EPG that was broadcast at 5 o'clock.

Catch-up is basically one hour different to the EPG!

Any thoughts?

Hi,i had similar problems with catch up,since changing to winter time.

I had to change EPG offset from -2 to -1 hr,and now catchup works as it should,and is realligned to epg.

Just try changing epg offset by trial and error,and see if catchup works correct,as it should.

I had to make the same adjustments on my z10pro as well .

The EPG is correct though - if I change the EPG Offset then the timings on the EPG becomes offset and are therefore incorrect

Basically it looks like the wrong file is being played in catch up - so rather than playing the file timed 1800 for the 6 o'clock news .... It's playing the clock tined 7 o'clock

It probably also depends were you are located (UK vs Europe continent) and were your provider is located.

One would expect for the provider to adapt to this seasonal time difference,however one of the 2 providers i have outsourced epg to a third party,and did not adapt epg correctly,therefore leaving me no other option than to change epg offset.

The fact you stated that you have no problems with your Z8,makes me wonder if this is not a specific Z11 problem,it also depends whether you are on MAC or XC connection,so sorry i do not have a rational explanation for your issue.

BTW do you use VPN?

No I don't use a VPN and given my provider works fine on both the Z8 and their Android phone client makes me think it's a Z11 / TVOnline3 problem / bug.

My son in law has the same issue with the same provider in his Z11 ....

It would be good to get a comment from someone in Formuler Technical support

Tested and epg catch up over EPG Grid works fine for me.

EPG should be in UTC Mode.

Home Menu-> Settings -> Date and Time -> check if all data are correct (date, time and GMT). You can also turn off network provided time and set all manually.

You can't set EPG into UTC mode on a Z11 Pro running TVOL3 can you? I've been trying to find the setting but can't?

I've set the time manually and checked it's set to GMT but catch-up is still 1 hour out even though the EPG is correct.

Have you any further ideas?

There is an EPG setting called Alternate (rather than Normal) which I could select when adding a content provider - would that help?

Just clutching at straws really as everything was fine until the clocks changed!

Sorry, my mistake on MOL3 is UTC standard setting.

If you can see it then you are using MAC ID Stalker, yes please use always for Stalker Alternate EPG.

After change, power off your box and cut the power for few sec. So the connections with providers get new connect. Alternatively you can in Content Manager -> Content Sources -> Disable and Enable the subs + hit once per sub on refresh button.

I've still got the same problem (catchup one hour out); and have done all the suggestions, rebooting, checking time using manual and network, reloading provider etc, but still has the same problem. Using XCAPI.

I seem to recall there were EPG time problems a while ago which was eventually cured with a software update.

Anything else I can try?

You can try to recheck your sub and catchup with third app like Tivimate, maybe is the provider server time not changed.

I've got exactly the same problem, z11 catchup out of sync, epg showing correct, and my z8 also fine. My friend also has exactly the same issue. I'm feeling this is more a formuler z11 issue than our providers......

I've tried everything without any luck. Hoping formuler picks up on this soon!!

I've noticed if I go back to oct 26th or earlier then catchup plays the program I click on..... But oct 27th onwards it's an hour out. Due to this the cloud time also doesn't work at the moment...

Come on formuler.... Your flagship box has major issues!

My provider has responded this morning with the following...

"it's a bug in the newer mytvonline 3 we have already reached out to formuler as i think they will need to issue a patch/ update."

So seems like formuler know of the fault, be nice if they would have responded to us on this thread... Let's hope they are more efficient at fixing it

I agree with the last couple of posts. I tried my provider with another app, and there was no problem with catchup.

I'm pleased to hear I'm not alone with catch-up being 1 hour out of sync on the Z11 since the change of clocks.

I'll let my service provider know it's a Z11 issue and, hopefully, we will get a fix soon!

No idea what a "chat" is on here.... I can't see any chat options in the menu bar... Just forums which is where this is.

Don't find this site very easy to navigate, so if you could give us a link.

I'm having the same exact issue now with my rpg. The epg itself is just fine when watching live, but if I watch something on catch-up it goes to the wrong program about an hour off of what it should be.

how are you connected to the server?

via MAC?

via ID/PW?
