With regards to the UI, it’s a nice touch being able to change the colour theme on the Home Screen. I usually change the wallpaper for my own because the old theme was outdated but this has refreshed and its very Android TV…. Almost!
For those that may not have seen, go to Home Screen and select settings then open launcher settings, select wallpaper and open gallery
Sorry adrilang,i dont know what you mean with "Groups" button.I have set Favorites for every of my 3 providers,do you mean i have to go on live channel of every Provider and press the Groups button?,in order to separate the 3 Providers?

What I mean by groups, on any live tv channel, doesn’t matter which provider, if you press groups button on your rcu it will open a menu which automatically separates content by provider.
For example:
Heading: Provider A
Entertainment
Factual
Kids
Heading: Provider B
Entertainment
Factual
Kids
So the first provider you setup in your content manager list and the relevant bouquets is what appears in your groups menu first and separated in order of content manager list.
To the left of that are also icons which is basically a folder of some description so you can easily select the provider you want to use.
If you have favourited your channels, you’ll only be able to view those favourites in one big list, it doesn’t appear to seperate by provider so maybe in that instance you create a favourite and rename by provider?

I see what you mean, it could be nice to press home button and you go back to home.
I have found that initially I was using direction pad on RCU (up down left right) to go back from menus to home, however; I press back arrow 🔙 and it does take you to home.
You still have to blast through menus but it’s quicker than using directions.
It's because usually on my shield i use home button to come back to home screen

Some extra findings:
- backup worked (didn't try restore)
- 2 scheduled EPG recordings were ok
Restore is OK (backup file stored on usb key)
Yesterday i had two failed recordings scheduled ones,when i tried a direct recording i was asked "what recording device",and my 1 TB hdd came up,i confirmed.
I made a succesful nightly recording afterwards and i guess after the update something went wrong with the set up of my rec.device.
I will try another scheduled recording tonight and if its succesful,you wont hear me complaining anymore!

- Audio sync on live tv: if I change the audio delay, the (fixed) subtitles are automatically changed with the same delay. Can this be corrected or is there a reason that it works this way (in my case the subtitles are ok, but the audio sometimes needs a little delay - due to AAC and my receiver)?
- Audio and subtitle delay: is is possible to change this, so we can keep pushing the RCU instead of having to click x-times for each 50 ms?
- I didn't get kicked out of MOL3 after startup yet, so this is looking good!

FYI: after the update, I had to click on my usb-hdd as storage in MOL3 settings (I believe this was greyed out or striked out). Probably (and hopefully) your next scheduled recordings will be ok.
Backup and Restore gives “Empty storage “ message. Reformated the SD card but got the same message.
It was working fine before beta.
Removed the SD card, reformatted again with Formuler. It is visible to the system but still the same message after trying backup.

He’s referring to the option to start an app, I use BT1 and can assign coloured buttons for certain tasks but it doesn’t work in this update even when assigning the task.
You can of course still program the buttons with dots and they still work ok so if starting an app is a must, he can assign one of those
OK, so in VOD and Tv Series Auto Frame Rate doesn't work as before, meaning there is no 23,976fps anymore, everything is played at 24HZ and that's a mess. Can i go back to previous MOL or we can't go back?

Ah ok thanks, i thought if i did factory reset the MOL3 version that would be installed is the official one and not the BETA one. In that case i'm a bit frustrated 
And just a tip, i see the same BETA version of MOL was installed on Z Mini, so i think the problem is MOL developers are more oriented to improve MOL under Android 12 environment and Z11 is Android 11. Some stuff will be incompatible over time. Right now i can see the issue of AFR because Android 12 has AFR engine in settings and Android 11 not, so MOL version 12 was done with that into account i guess and the AFR engine on Android 11 is a bit different. I think on Android 12 you don't need to do anything for AFR to work out of the box while in Android 11 formuler developers had to put some weird settings in the developer settings for it to work, but as it's not needed in Android 12 this new version of MOL is probably in conflict with those settings given it's the same version that's on zmini. This is all to say that Z11 really needs an Android 12 upgrade, otherwise MOL developers will have 2x work updating MOL3 for A12 for zmini and A11 for Z11 and it makes no sense to me.

Beta tests are not only install and compare if it works better or not, their is sometimes need to recheck, change settings, reinstall something and even to do factory reset if necessary. New options have their logic and logic of use, this logic have to be understood first. Writing some bug report or fail after 2-3 hours are not good! Please test first hours and hours, try to change some settings if needed and then report after 2-3 Days if something is wrong or not, this after rough test. Thank you very much for your understanding.
Will do backup and then factory reset, after 2-3 days will come here hopefully to say everything is OK LOL
It's beta , that can introduce some bug
There must be some bug in scheduled recording,this time recording failed because i was kicked out of mol3 back to homepage!
My preliminary conclusion is that i will pass on future beta updates,as i can not miss out on recording my daily police series sequel,before beta update recording was 100% reliable!

The issue I have on latest official firmware aren’t resolved, no sound on startup, every 2 or 3 starts I have no sound on MOL3, the only solution is to perform a restart
Erratic timeshift function, only start and end of the timeshift are usable no way to navigate on the file … but sometime it works correctly

About the EPG method setting, I found a solution: erase the sub’s and create a new one, the process ask forr EPG method…

First off all, great new launcher. Second, grouping of providers in the groups section is excellent!
Issues I ran into
I can't pause tv nor can I rewind (time shift). Warning: storage disconnected.
In the settings menu of mol3 > Dvr options > Recording storage location and time shift storage location my sd card was strike through as in , it's disabled. After selecting it , that went away but didn't fix the issue.
I safely ejected storage and inserted sd card again. This didn't fix the issue
Formatted the SD card rebooted Z11 this didn't fix the issue.
Coloured buttons dont work for me anymore. Checked remote control app to be sure they were still there and they were there. I can't use the buttons anymore when I'm in the home screen.

I wonder if SD card slot is the issue in this case because others have experienced an issue with SD.
I’m using USB and timeshift works ok so I wonder if you could try usb to see if this resolves your issue.
If it does, then issue does point to SD function
Dude , I appreciate the effort. It has always worked untill the new update. Several users already pointed out they have the same issue with their sd card. I think it might have something to do with moving to USB:recordings. Xs permission i.e. problems with mounting.
Too bad I can't xs the system or application log myself, I could've helped the devs more.
SAM maybe that's a great idea for a new feature? If we can pin point the issue in the log, Make a pic of it, upload here. devs are able to fix more issues because it saves time. The only issue they have to figure out is how to reproduce the problem. But the telegram beta channel can help with that, to contact people more easily to help giving more explanation on reproduction.

Format the sd card with NTFS, insert into box, restart the box, do MOL3 settings in dvr menu and test again.
Sd card works on my side.
maybe that's a great idea for a new feature? If we can pin point the issue in the log, Male a pic of it, upload here. devs are able to fix more issues because it saves time. The only issue they have to figure out is how to reproduce the problem.

I agree completely,i dont like the layout of the homepage either and find it more difficult to navigate then the old one
For me they are both ugly tbh when compared against the competition, but this new one seems faster and modernish, but it's probably placebo from my end. The old one had almost everything in the launcher and that's why it's probably heavier, this one seems light, faster to load and we don't need all those settings to appear at launch, i can live with this new launcher, just fix the vod AFR because i have to many 23,976fps movies and now i can't play them at the correct refresh rate. Hi since testing the BETA version, I have noticed the EPG wipes after 24 hours, only way to retrieve EPG is by going into Content Manager/Data Sync/EPG data/Clear and update.
This has been tested on 3 providers with same results. Can this be looked into and fixed when official version is released.

I know you can't please everybody, but to me this is a backward step.
You can manually make it look like the legacy one though to a degree.
Add a custom row and rename to what you like or favourite the apps you like so they appear in one long row.
Change the colour scheme of the background by going to settings > launcher settings > wallpaper > gallery.
Choose from 21 colour schemes
Personally the new look is an excellent upgrade especially for those looking for an Android TV type appearance.

Also, if you navigate again using the icons as mentioned and open Turorial, helpful videos can be found. Extremely useful for those who are unsure how to use some features of MTOL3

Ahhh OK, never noticed them on previous versions but thanks for pointing out.
I think did see a help centre on / off toggle within MTOL in previous versions but never it never did anything for me so I didn’t realise it was a feature available in the context it is now.
