If most people don't have this issue, I suppose it might be related to your TV or the settings on it...

Hello, thanks for your reply. I use a Philips TV where the HDR mode is called "optimal" in the HDMI output settings. I also use this for my PS5 without any problems. When I connect the Z12 Ultra to the TV and select "optimal," it immediately shows no signal. When I unplug the Z12 and plug it back in, it starts up with a picture, but the receiver starts acting strangely. The menu is stuck on "my TV online" 3. When starting up the receiver, the dots under the Formuler logo stutter. The HDR mode on the receiver also turns itself off automatically without me doing anything. On my PS5, HDR 4K in this mode is no problem, so in my opinion, it's not the TV.

Mine is a Philips oled TV aswell. I've now fixed my issue. Check on the TV itself for a newer software update this somehow fixed the issue for me that and a hdmi lead

Hope this issue gets sorted soon or it will be returned. Apart from the switching issue I can't find any other faults

I just put it back in its packaging; I'm going to send it back directly.

Amazing my z11 pro max works beautifully frankly for 200euro to have so many bugs it is incredible, it should have been tested before putting it on sale. Disappointed 😞

I lived with the Z11 for 3 years and when it came out it was also a problem until they got it right, and with the Z12 it will be the same, it takes time, people expected that first they would test the box a lot in all aspects and then put it on sale and not be the BETATESTER buyers because Formular doesn't pay us for that.

Like the Z11, the Z12 also needs some time to fine-tune; this requires users like us. And no product has teething problems upon release; this is always the case with all brands, big or small. Formuler has already proven itself; all previous models are top-notch.

Switching bug I'm getting - if I want a film to switch to the correct display rate, then go back to normal after I exit it, it flashes briefly back to 60hz, but then stays in 24hz. Have to restart box to go back to 60hz.

My issue has once again return 😞 I had to restart the box via settings due to a audio issue now stuck again with EPG bug. Has anyone found a permanent fix for this ?

I'd like to share a few points that could be improved on Formuler boxes, especially with MOL3. Here is my detailed feedback:

Bluetooth audio bug: The connection with Bluetooth headphones is established correctly, but no sound comes out, tested on two different headphones. Also, sometimes the box restarts for no reason when connecting, and the soundbar connected via SPDIF automatically turns up the volume each time Bluetooth is enabled. This Bluetooth issue strongly affects usability, especially for users with several audio peripherals.

Missing VOD and series options: It would be very useful to add a logo or a mark on VOD/series jackets to indicate content already watched, as well as an indication of image quality (4K, FHD, etc.) in the descriptive card. This feature is available on many other platforms and really enhances the user experience.

Limited live control: Currently, it's not possible to rewind on a channel before you start watching it—the timeshift only starts when you zap to the channel. It would be nice to have a larger playback buffer allowing rewind from the beginning of the session.

Overall, MOL3 is very stable. These suggestions, especially fixing the Bluetooth bug, would make the product much more complete and pleasant to use.

It's very random. Sometimes it switches to dv and sometimes it doesn't. If it does it either shows a black screen orbit just doesn't play but you can skip forward but it doesn't play. If you manually set it then it plays

For me, the only problem is H.265 with Plex I see now.

I like to bring forward a finding.....the AFM I feel this on some live channels will black out for few seconds trying to match the content hdmi setting. Anyone else noticed this?
This was an issue with GTV and Z8 but Formuler fixed it with updates...keeping my hope up👍

Thks for the update Sam. I just got my hands on the Z12 yesterday so Still early playing around.
So far its fast, sound and picture quality is amazing. Love it.

I just received my z12 and while it is a nice box, the audio passthrough issues are a deal breaker for me. Is this being worked on or do I need to return my box?

Ok so a quick update. I can get audio passthrough to work inside of Kodi with the Emby addon but not outside of Kodi with the Emby app so it does work. Hopefully they can get it to work properly without having to use Kodi.

It was already the case with the Z11, and it has never been improved

So don't expect too much to have passthrough of HD audio formats on this box outside of Kodi

Playing mkv file on Z12 via NAS server with smb1 (2 and 3 also tried)
