  • I had this problem also with black screens. (On Formuler Z7+ 5G)

    I had one connection. I watched tv a hole night.

    Next day i made connection and on every channel black screen.

    Problem: mac address blocked at providers side.

    After unblocking mac address and restarted my device i could watch again.

    But i got this problem every week/month. So i switched provider.

    Problem solved.

    SAM I raised this issue previously but still no positive outcome.

    Are the devs any closer to sorting out the API to allow catchup / replay to work on Portal logins with new panels for those running the latest Formuler update?

    It’s been several weeks since panel changes and Formuler are very slow to address the issue. App devs sorted it their side the very same day!

    Formuler advised a “workaround” previously to use MAC login but that is not ideal when a lot of users have portal. That’s not an appropriate workaround.

    Is it likely you’ll be issuing a hotfix urgently or simply address the API issue so catchup will work? If we could get some info and timeline that would be great.

    I had also that issue with black screens, it was really annoying. I did not change anything on my Z8, I guess my Provider did because today everything works fine, no more black screens. I did not speak to my Provider, so I guess he knew we had issues and has made some modifications on his side.

  • Anyone else still having problems following the update?....my Z8 still freezes/crashes every 2-3 hours - always reloads OK. Tried factory reset, VPN, static IP address, different App (STB emu), all with no difference.....contacted Provider, who re-started the service for me but confirmed all was OK at their end.....is there any new Firmware update to come?.......

    Couple of things to note.

    Check the “Sleep Timer” on your Z8 to see what that is set to. Set it to off or 4 hours as a baseline depending on your preference. If it’s off and it still does it, you’ll know that’s not the issue

    You said in your description that it’s no different when you use STB EMU, is that right? So the same thing happens whilst using a different app?

    If this happens whilst using multiple apps then the source is provider side. Some providers have connection time limits to ensure their service doesn’t get clogged by people leaving iptv running for many hours at a time. After a specific time they determine set their side it will freeze and cut you off. Sometimes a quick change of channel brings it back on but other times you have to disconnect, certainly not ideal.

    Connection time limits generally only happen if you’re on the same channel for a long period, if you’ve changed the channel in that time then you shouldn’t be affected.

    So to confirm the two things to check:

    1) Sleep timer on Z8 (you have a button on your remote, press that)

    2) if point 1 is ok, ask your provider if he has a connection time limit and if so, can he adjust it.


    If none of the above is affected in your case then you may need to dig deeper... for that I would say log in to your broadband router and check your connection lease time, it could be renewing your lease more often than necessary so adjust the settings there. But first check the above.

    Sleep Timer was Off

    Playback Limit in Settings cannot be altered - set by Provider no doubt - has always been 3 hours but not had any similar issue before latest Updates (when problem first developed recently, it was going off after minutes/ or 2 hours, rather than a full 3 hours ....and wouldn't that just cause the box to go to Red Light/Standby, rather than me having to re-start the service every time? ...(it says Connected and MOL2 menu etc is there, but black screens and I have to dis- and then re-connect).....

    Lease Time on Router seems to be every 24 hours. ......

  • Also seeing this black screen in 2 different households

    Latest firmware update on both

    Provider says nothing his end and no one using his app are having any problems.

    If left alone on any live channel (Black screen) sometimes it’ll come to life after 10-30min without any prompting. I can then flick between channels. Randomly it might stop working again when changing to a new channel, sometimes not

    Are there any system logs we can view on this box?

    Happens with and without VPN, numerous reboots, cache data cleared, definite internet connection

    Providers vod and tv series works, just the live tv that breaks

    (Unable to comment about previous S/W version as boxes are new and I updated to latest F/W before setting up)

  • Exact same problem since latest firmware downloaded...... other posts here show similar problems...

    Have to re-load every morning, or whenever box put on standby (except if restarted within a few minutes). VOD seems OK, just the live TV has the problem.

    With or without VPN. MOL2 or other app no difference. Static IP address or DHCP. Factory reset - no difference. No issue with Z8 sleep timer. Also checked with provider, who re-started service for me - no problems at their end. (Settings say box is connected to Provider even when live TV screen is black- have to dis- and then re-connect...

    Live TV seems to be OK for a couple of hours now - was only 10-30 minutes at first...

  • What are you Null , MichaelBe and ukslc using exactly for connect with your provider, registered MAC /ID Stalker portal, XC Api with login portal or m3u playlist?

  • But what was 100% before then working great after 13:00

    Vod, tv series and live was working fine until Thurs morning.

    All day Thurs Live Tv was black screen. Provider told me everything ok that side, I could connect to portal, Live Tv was black screen but Vod and Tv Series was working.

    Friday 13:00 onwards Live Tv is back to normal (so far)

    My provider tells me nothing’s changed that side, my MAC hasn’t featured in any error/block lists.

    More than happy to send any logs to devs if it can help?

  • Did your provider tell you if he edited the live tv channel list in this time or did work on something else? Btw if you have sub. from some reseller even he doesn`t know exactly what the provider admin change at the time you have issues. Please don`t believe always what they say and most of them say it works always 100%.

    I’m with you on this, my provider (like any out there) will always tell me “everything’s ok” if no-one else is complaining. They said everything was OK they’re side, I was connecting to their Vod and Tv Series. They could see the connection.

    And that’s why I want to offer up any logs if you can tell me how to so we can all see where the cause was..?

    btw, literally LOVE the MOL2 app, just want to help iron out issues (if indeed there are any?!)

  • We still searching for reason of this issue but it is hard to reproduce.

    Users with this Issue, could you please test something:

    1. Give your Box static IP

    2. Install DNS 1111 app from Market and execute.

    3. Turn OFF AFR in MOL2 Menu/Settings

  • Running a Z8 and using an IPTV App - at least 2/3 times every evening when changing channels screen just goes BLACK sometimes with sound sometimes without - the only way to get a picture back is to reboot box - Box is 1 year old and running latest update _ been doing it for 6 months or so - any ideas welcomed!

  • I got black screen with text Android after latest update.

    Lot of apps do not work. If I click on them I got that same black screen with android text.

    I also happens when I just look att TV in "MyTv" app.

    Z8 is not stabile.

    Whats wrong with the latest update?

    Contacted the seller and after several "good advice" I sent in the Z8 for service. They could not fix it. Got a new Z8. Now I really hesitate to make further updates.
