    Questions and Answer:

    1. HDR10+ implemented ?

    • Until now was on the box only HDR10 possible, with this update Formuler added also HDR10+.
    • Please click on link to read what HDR10 and HDR10+ means.

    2. What is Retry interval / Retry count (MOL2 Menu -> Settings -> Player Options)?

    • Retry count: How many times to retry the channel if the server doesn't provide a valid response or stream when requested.
    • Retry interval: How many seconds in between retries.
(This menu only shows up on Z10 and GTV devices)

    3. I think judder is still there?

    • Use screen resolutions like 4K/50-60Hz or 1080/50-60Hz.

    4. If change to auto I cannot change volume with remote of the z10. With other option I have no sorround sound.

    Audio Options and explain:

    • Auto: Use the formats that your device reports supporting (recommended).
This is in clear words "RAW Modus"! Means the Audio will be forwarded (untouched on the box) to your Soundbar or AVR and only that device control the Audio volume.
    • None: Never use surround sound . This is "PCM" and the Formuler Box have the control of the Audio volume.

Here also one post from 175n and explain:

It's normal. You can't control volume of passthrough RAW audio (Dolby) from the source device.

Only the device that decodes the RAW audio can control the volume.

If you want to control the sound using the Formuler, you need to turn off Surround Sound passthrough.

Android Settings > Device Prefs. > Sound > Surround sound > Select Formats > NONE

Also something New and very important:

User who have BT1 Remote, installed the latest "Formuler Remote App" and updated the RCU Firmware to 0.5.38, will have the possibility to control the Audio from the box with Bluetooth and Audio from TV, Soundbar or AVR through IR at same time!

  • Dear Sam/Devs: Have installed the long awaited software update (10.10.23) On Z10 Pro Max. PQ seems to be good so far. No picture stuttering in 4K50HZ picturemode. Have not tried with AFR though.

    HDR10+ implemented ? Please explain.

Also in new menu: Retry interval / Retry count ?

Could use some feedback, regarding new software, from other users ..........

Many thanks to the devs, for extensive software-update, much appriciated.

Best regards, and keep up the good work.

  • Netflix have nothing to do with this update! Please no questions anymore about netflix in this update thread!

  • Hi Everyone,

Thank you for this upgrade, bravo to the Dev.

Perhaps i have it wrong, but in this upgrade, can i use the enable / disable SMB ? If so, how and where i can find it.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks fir the update!

Question about sound options in Android settings.

if change to auto I cannot change volume with remote of the z10. the other option I have no sorround sound.

Samsung 4k TV 2020 with Samsung soundbar connected hdmi acr.

    latest audio optimizer is installed.

some channels are very loud and some are very still so I have to adjust each channel volume manually with sound bar remote controle.

  • HDR10+ implemented ? Please explain.

Also in new menu: Retry interval / Retry count ?

Read first post again under "Quuestions and Answer" 1+2.

You misunderstood, it was not SMB Server implemented on the box, it was client improvement for SMB 2.1 and SMB 3.0 protocols with device connections in own Network like NAS where SMB server are running.

Still no backup and restore functionality available.

Was not on priority list, hope it comes asap with future update/updates. For now have Bugs higher priority.

and from few other.. Will try to explain again and hope everyone will understand written, because this was asked 1000x times!

Looks better, but still stuttering when watching soccer at 25 fps.

Use screen resolutions like 4K/50-60Hz or 1080/50-60Hz and AFR for now.

  • Thanks for the update, here's some feedback:

Audio: dts, dd or any soundstream still not selectable when using surround sound in settings menu

Bluetooth remote and update works. Great new feature! Can select audio system and control its volume. But since I can't disable dd in the sound menu it's useless to me.

Catchup: Pixelation still visible in catchup programs.

Catchup: skips forward often when playing a prigram

Catchup: when going from a live stream to the beginning en skipping forward, the stream freezes and can't go back or forward. You need to exit to solve it.

When pauzing a live stream and pressing play after you came back, it skips forward a few minutes. (tried with microsd and regular external usb

  • Hello i have a problem with my soundbar jbl 9.1 My sound bar is connected in hdmi arc to tv and hdmi in to formuler but when I activate surround in formuler settings, i have no sound on mp2 channels, sound bar displays pcm. No problem on the dd channels, the surround is activated. I have all tried. All channel works if I turn the surround off but all in pcm.

  • I've installed the official firmware update. The stuttering has decreased but is still visable at times. The audio sync has gotten worse with VOD or TV series. If I turn off surround sound and just use PCM no problems at all, pic and audio stay in sync. Very disappointing that this is happening. Has anyone else experienced the same?

I've also noticed the same when using Kodi Matrix 19.3 and watching movies with hi-def audio (Dolby Atmos, TrueHD and DTS-HD

All working normally on the Z8 Pro using same equipment and iptv provider.

  • I have installed the latest updates, however, now mytvonline2 intermittently stops while watching a channel. Usually, I just have to open it up again and it works. Don’t have to log back in to the service, just reopen the app. Also, is there a setting to stop the Z10 from powering off when idle for a few hours? TYIA

Hello i had To install audio optimizer again and reload it and then restart then everything was ok whit audio but i have it connected To a receiver

  • Also I noticed that the built in media Player when you select a movie from you usb using media Browser won't play dolby sound say unknown. also it can't play .avi files.

The built-in player is junk. Use VLC from the Play Store

  • Is there a different when using aan optical kabel?

    No.

Every channel has sound but some are very loud and some are very still.

Depends from Audio stream that comes from your provider and codec in use.

    Maybe some kind of autovolume?

Check on your TV if you have same setting.

Please explain why it is that there is no AAC passthrough to the AVR when Auto is chosen?

If the source audio codec is AAC 5.1, the volume is controlled by the box, not the AVR.

  • A few more tests: (real) 50 FPS and 60 FPS channels are running very smooth, channels that get displayed as 25 FPS (if you hit the info button 2 times and look to the bottom left corner, in the normal info it still says 50 FPS) still have the judder problem. Can you pass this to the developers, so they can fix it for 25 FPS channels too? Would be great!

Yes is already known and they working on it.

Do you have some file for test? AVR is Denon, if yes which one? Please tell me also how are your devices connected.

  • Ok, will test that over weekend and post my findings.

  • Hotkeys are not working as before update.

Before update I had to choose my remote of 3. Mine is the IR1.

Now it shows only a graphic of a group of remote controls with a list of the coloured buttons . Gone are the buttons on the bottom of my remote i.e. the buttons with 2, 3 and 4 dots.

How do I now program these buttons ?
