Features Request Z11 and MOL3 (No discussions or questions, only request thread)

    Have used other android boxes, apps in the past and one feature that would add functionality to Z11pro max and MOL3 is moving channels in their respective menus. From what I understand right now to reorder channels I need to go into Content Manager and then long press OK and reorder. Why not have the ability to long press a channel in any menu and rearrange them. Specifically for me would be in the Favorites menu. Each night I like to group the sports games I will be watching and reorder the channels of those games all at the top of the Favorites menu (which could be up to 30-40 channels). Yes I can do it in content manager, but when a you are changing and moving channels throughout the night (one game is a blow out and not good to watch or one game starts at 7 and the other at 8:30 and another at 9, reordering channels in the main Favorites menu is a huge improvement versus going to the content manager and its 3-4 different paths to long press and hold to move the channel. Watching a channel, press ok to get the favorites menu up and then long press the channel to rearrange!

    You already have this ability. Press the Groups button, scroll left twice, select Favorites, then long-press on a channel to move it. You do not need to use Content Manager.

    Here is a suggestion for improvement for MOL.
    It would be helpful to have a sorting filter in the favorites for movies and TV series:

    • Sort by alphabetical order
    • Latest addition for TV series

    I wish it had a backup function like my shield box where I just backup to a USB drive and on another shield box I can restore and it is an exact copy of my other box with all favorites TV/Movie and channels etc are the same.

    It takes hours to load another box the same way.... if I can't do this unfortunately I will have to go back to my shield box but I like this one better so far

    It can cause burn-in (irreparable damage) to your TV screen.

    Try using the new "Watchlist" feature to see if helps.

    You can add events to the Watchlist from the grid EPG (Guide) menu.

    Requesting for feature within MTVOL3,& MTVOL2

    EPG /channel guide timeout.

    If you leave the screen on the EPG guide or channel list , it doesn't timeout back to full screen , can this be implemented to timeout say 10-30secs or options to change timeout (secs) ?

    - Ability to hide, remove or add categories in the live tv instead of going to content manager and find the ones to remove, it's boring;

    - Ability to pull up and down Portals without having to add/remove them again, because in searches, the first portal will get the first results. I know there is favorites but it's not the same;

    - Subtitle position would be good for movies with 1920x800 resolution or 3840x1600 (alien Romulus for example) where subtitles are in the video area and there is tons of space below the video, this should be an easy fix, not sure why nobody cares LOL Fans of dubbing?

    The ability to record in standby instead of powering the box on which powers on everything else connected by CEC

    The ability to independently set the number of minutes to start early or end late for recordings instead of a single extra time option.

    The ability to set the forward and reverse times separately for playback, such as forward 60 seconds and back 15 seconds.

    The option to open to the guide instead of to a live channel.

    I like the tv guide when I press “guide” but it would be really cool if we could choose what part of tv guide opens when we press the guide button.

    For instance if I want to see the groups in my favourite guide UI I have to press guide and then groups. I would prefer the guide to open with the groups visible automatically

    A way to be able to synchronize for all 3 mains categories (Live TV, VOD and TV Series) a way to have all the favoris, groups and what was already been see over all device with the red bar over multiple different boxes with MOL3 in the same google account! This could be on a network drive, cloud drive or other way!

    One of my providers had to change url (not sure if this is temporay or definitive), so again a lot of time needed to sort this out. Therefore my requests:

    - If a url is changed -> possibility to keep all favourite tv-channels, vod movies, vod series and radio-channels of this provider - or at least be able to copy them in some kind of way onto the new url

    - Possibility to see all favourite tv-channels, vod movies, vod series and radio-channels of each provider (all or listed per provider, as eg shown as a search result of vod movies). Like this I can take pictures, as for now I have to disable or delete all other providers besides the one I need to see all favourite tv-channels, vod movies, vod series and radio-channels (and this takes a long time - disable and enable or delete and restore).

    - Asked earlier: be able to sort providers as we want in the list, so A, C, E, D, B instead of A, B, C, D, E (as added).

    This would be great and would save me lots of time!

    Great idea!!

    Add at formuler remote app the next function.

    At setup hotkeys, add the function string

    "DATA SYNC" REFRESH.

    so whe can ONE of the 4 hotkey buttons setup as data sync😃

    It is then only one button to push on the remote to use sync data/refresh content and epg. Only one step then😃


    And not: menu, Contentmanager,

    data sync and then refresh.

    So not 4 buttons, but only one.

    To everyone, please like this post.

    If we can use one hotkey on remote, how great would that be!

    Little reminder of RE: Features Request Z11 and MOL3 (No discussions or questions, only request thread) due to another changed url of another provider + an addition: as already mentioned in Portal change loses all info -> possibility backup and restore: backup, export backupfile, edit file (eg change url), import modified file. This would save us a lot of time!

    This is a great box Formuler z11 pro Max!
    I use it for many years but i miss some functions:

    Hotkey for sync (update) IPTV list

    Formule 1 in matchday

    Imdb optie for vod / serie

    And option for notification disable

    And option for vod / series in with map the movie is.

an option which would be interesting to add at least on mol3 to upgrade other iptv apps like tivimate or ott navigator and which would be very useful is the possibility of reading when we add to a local or remote m3u file the support for chain links in .mpd + windevine keys. If we try to do it today, the app crashes and shuts up.

    When searching for a channel in mol2 it would allow you to save a channel from the seaech results straight to favorites by hitting the blue button. In mol3, there is no option to add to favorites from search. For example, if I search Chicago, I can add all my local channels on one screen quickly. Now you have to go to each channel in the category to save to favorites

    I've had a Z11 Pro Max BT1 unit for about a week now. I have been using TVIMATE on other devices for a while bit i think MyTVOnline3 has the edge features wise.


    Two things I'd like to see

    1. I'm on an XC connection so I understand with this the max epg is 2 days which is fine. However I often find that even though it should auto update when I go in the following day there is no EPG info (even though it says in the notifications it updated). A force refresh resolves the issue but I'd like it if i didn't have to do that.

    2.Metadata searching in Media - I know it's possible to search via film title and then from there you can select an actor from the media info page which is used to search the media metadata for other films in which the actor starred. If the metadata is available (for example it is in Plex) would it be possible to search via director? That is something I use in Plex regularly.

    When marking up a program for recording in the EPG, mark the actual program title itself with a red circle, as in MOL2.

    In MOL3 it puts a red line at the top of the EPG. There's no way of knowing, while looking at the EPG, which program is marked as set for recording. This is a giant step backwards compared to MOL2. I've never seen such a silly feature in any type of STB I've ever owned.

    This has been mentioned about a year ago off many people. & still the same. So i think this is a permanent feature on mol3. So many features a downgrade on mol3 in my opinion. Like record & remind feature taken off on single epg 🤷🏼‍♂️ 1 day epg on xcapi. Cast's faces on VOD gone on mol3. When typing in a film. On mol2 you could type maybe 3 letters & the film would come up. That gone on mol3. Many downgrades in my opinion. But mol3 has a few better features than mol2 also. So can't complain to much.

    • Some way to get to the error logs from within the interface, especially decoding errors. It's not a good idea to drown the regular user with buttons and options but put in a developer mode or something where that's an option. Right now if something doesn't work I have no clue why.
    • Some way of marking VODs as viewed, both movies, episodes and seasons. Emby, Plex and all the rest have it and it's really a core feature. I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned before.
    • Possibility to activate the menu button from anywhere. Right now you have to get out of a VOD and press the back button multiple times before being able to activate it.
    • Add an option to keep anything that is playing active when you get into the menu options. This is a minor issue but sometimes you want to hear what's going on when you're in the settings. Perhaps you're doing things while waiting for a program to start?
    • Options for alternate views when browsing VODs. Right now the only option shows one row at a time, which makes scanning material more cumbersome. Again, Plex and Emby can give plenty of inspiration.
    • Better caching of content. It looks like the metadata for a VOD is fetched every time I select it but perhaps this goes under bugs. Or I'm just wrong.
    • Make the green button open universal search from everywhere. Having it only enabled when in 10% of the interface defeats its purpose.

    I have tried to search for these issues to I hope you'll forgive me for adding something that has been mentioned before.
