Hi, I added service provider to Mytvonline3,(using Formuler Z11 pro max I got few days ago) my box is up to date with latest update installed, the problem is: every morning I loose the streaming also if I on plug the box from electricity I loose streaming I can not watch any streaming, it says (Retrying 1/5 unable to open stream, server error: HTTP 404) then after trying 5/5 it says contact your service provider. I don't have that problem with my Drimlink using the same service provider. Then I have to go to Content Manager, then to content sources, then press refresh other option is to call the service provider and have them refresh it then 2 minutes later it works, I can not keep calling my service provider every day for them to refresh it or for me to go over few screens to refresh it everyday, what can I do to get the box to function as intended? thanks in advance
every day I loose all streaming

1. do you have any vpn enable?
Some use ip lock, try asking provider to remove ip lock
it could be an ip lock because if electricity goes the router can get a new ip and the previous ip is registered with the iptv provider.
so when you request a line reset from the iptv provider it will allow the new ip.

Check your DNS settings.

Even when power doesn't go off, the next morning I loose streaming, seller told me to do a hard reset by using a paper clip (is there another way of doing hard reset? also by hard reset would I loose the favorite as well as would I loose my streaming (would I loose the streaming setting from the provider)
-
1. hard reset means every thing will be lost it will set the unit back to if you setting it up for the first time out of the box.
2. not necessary to use paper clip once the box is working go settings>device preferences>
3. don't think factory reset will solve the issue. The issue(404) is connectivity related example server, internet, outdated link for source, duplicated sessions.
-do you have multiple device on one connection or is using at multiple location?

Did you disable the automatic content refresh settings in MYTVOnline3?
If not, what time is the automatic refresh scheduled for?

No I did not disable the automatic content refresh setting, it shows as 5 in the morning every day. should I disable it? so I go to content manager, then data sync then auto update setting then scheduled data refresh setting (refresh content auto) scheduled refresh on, time of a day 05:00 I will disable it now

When I tried to do a reset from setting it asked for a password, my box is few days old and I don't have the password

When I tried to do a reset from setting it asked for a password, my box is few days old and I don't have the password
1. the default pass is 0000
2. before factory resetting you can try updating to the latest beta software because:
FIX: 404 error occurs sometimes when zapping.
ask if you require info on how to update.

Hi
As written in the beta-update section (take a look over there):
Go to main menu - Software update, press 1339 and red button. Beta should be available then.
Good luck

Do NOT disable the auto content refresh.
If you don't turn off your device during the night, you need to click on the "Refresh Contents" button that appears in the main menu in the morning.
If you DO turn off your device during the night, the new contents will be applied automatically when you turn the device back on.
-
also if you don't see the content refresh button each day, it is normal because some providers don't add content daily.
-
hi guys
hmmm ... see my posts in the Beta-section, seems like the problems i'm having with disconnecting main provider and error 404 after refreshing content (but they only started after the beta!).

I turn off the the device every night. Actually yesterday (for the first time) I disable the auto content refresh and this morning when I turned the device on, it started to work right away without any issues (first time started in the morning without any issues). (what is the disadvantage if I disable the auto content refresh?) and if I leave the device on at night, would it use internet very much or not that much internet data? last few days (when auto content refresh was active) and when device is turn off during the night, in the morning I would not see the "Refresh contents" button at the main menu and it does not appears in the main menu so in order to make the device work I do the following: 1. content manager, 2. content sources, 3. Refresh (once the refresh is completed) then I see the refresh contents in the main menu and after I press the refresh contents in the main menu starts to work (it is a 5 minutes process that I don't think I should do every morning) same thing happens when the device is unplugged from electricity. by the way, thanks so much for you to try to help me.
-
1. there is no performance advantage to have auto refresh enable except it will do it for you automatically at a fix set time so it is more like a convenience.
2. with mol3 the refresh button is not permanently on the main menu like it is on mol2. Only when a notification of new content is shown then the refresh will be on the menu.
3. Normally refresh don't take five minutes. It is usually less(1-2 mins) however, connection quality and different providers will give different results.

But… be aware that if a sceduled recording is set while automatically refresh is set, sometimes the refresh is blocking the sceduled recording and recording fails …
-
well then an implimentation should be done to not allow auto refresh if a schedule is conflicting with the refresh time.

Don't turn off Auto refresh
Okay thank you, I will turn it back on. but what are the disadvantage of turning off the Auto refresh?
-
if it is off you may have to do manual refresh.
depending on how long you take to do manual refresh you can miss content.

what are the disadvantage of turning off the Auto refresh?
You will face 401/404 errors more often if you don't manually refresh religiously.
-
the auto refresh can help to avoid stale cache meaning if the provider update the source ids on the server and you don't remember to refresh you can get as mention in the previous post the 401/404.
you can also miss new content.
especially if using m3u.

Hi
Sorry, but as i've been struggling recently also with the manual refresh (and losing provider connection afterwards with lots of efforts & frustration to get it back): not sure what you exactly mean: best to DO manually refresh or NOT TO DO manually refresh of conten?
As SAM wrote in the 'Refresh'-section, I now really thought it is best to avoid manually refresh (or just when there's need to for some provider's reason);
Folks , please let the standard settings like they are, Automatic Shedule Refresh 05:00 and update settings to update interval 3 hour and do not do it manually each time. The data update works in background.
If red "Refresh Contents" appear then execute it and after 20 sec the data are up to date.
Could you confirm, please?
Thanks!
-
1. auto refresh will do the refresh without user interaction at a specific set time once the box is on.
2. with manual refresh user is required to do it.
the notification of new content is only shown if the server update the content. this can occur both for manual and auto refresh depending on the time of server update.
in any case you should not have disconnection every 20mins or refreshing taking over 5minutes.
-
also try to disable tivimate from autobooting when the unit starts up.

I assume you are using stalker?
If so, there are a couple reasons why you might be losing the connection.
- Your MAC ID is hacked. It means someone else is also using your MAC ID on the same portal at the same time as you. The problem manifests itself as frequent 401/404 errors that go away when you reload the portal. The reason you see the 401/404 is because the server can only provide 1 connection to 1 MAC ID. You can reproduce this issue by putting the same MAC ID details in STB emulator or another stalker client app. Connect to MOL3 and watch TV. After that, use STB emulator to connect to the same portal using the same MAC ID used in MOL3. When you go back to MOL3, you will see that the login was revoked and you will encounter 401/404 errors and failed to load VOD messages. The connection is re-instated when you reload the portal in MOL3. Likewise, now the connection from STB emulator was revoked.
"How can I fix this?" you may ask. You should edit the MAC ID in MOL3 to a completely new MAC ID and preferably an ID that does NOT start with 001a79. It goes without saying that you must tell your IPTV service provider your new MAC ID after changing it.
The other far easier method to resolve this issue is to switch to XCAPI. - You're not refreshing the content daily when new content lists are downloaded from the server. Your content lists (and connection token) should be renewed at least once a day for stalker portal. Make sure that auto content data refresh is enabled in the Content Manager. Make sure to press the "Refresh Contents" button in the main menu whenever it makes an appearance.
This inconvenience can also be avoided if you switch over to XCAPI.
-
I think he is using xtremecode because the bottom line of his post has:
"Formuler Z11 Pro Max - XC API Portal"
if using mac just follow the above ppost by 175n
if using xc try asking the provider to change the password.
-
1. Mark all notification as read because you can't delete notification yet.
2. There is no problem in using both type of refresh. (as mentioned previously)
but don't spam it.
The following is some example situation for manual refresh
a. if new content comes after the auto refresh(mol3 notification can alert)
b. if the box is set to power off or electricity or internet goes around the auto refresh time.
c. content suddenly stop working(so manual refresh or restarting unit will resolve in most cases).
d. some just prefer the manual refresh by choice and some will use the routine feature(auto refresh) offered to them on mol3.
-
thanks JR, only here my problems (losing server connection of main provider and errors 401,404 and 1010) started just after doing a manual refresh. So now I'm anxious to do a manual refresh ...
-
note: sometimes clearing the mol cache before entering the new login can also help.

Woste why you think so complicated? 175n told you exactly what to do, let the box do automatically data refresh and if red text appear then refresh, that`s all.
Other thing about your Tivimate use. Do you also kill the Tivimate process (i guess you use same provider data on Tivimate and MOL3) when you exit and start again to watch with MOL3?

I wasn't sure how to understand 175n's post: to max avoid errors 401/404: take manually updates or not, sorry for that (I'll only do manually if necessary)
About TiviMate: Yes, I always kill all apps when switching between MOL3 and TiviMate.

if your subscription is one(1) connection and you are using two iptv client you can get error if both are running in the back-ground.
you have to completely shutdown one before using the other.

Should I leave the box turned on for the auto refreshing to take place? (does it do auto refreshing if the box is turned off at night?)

Should I leave the box turned on for the auto refreshing to take place? (does it do auto refreshing if the box is turned off at night?)
hi, as i mention before if the box is off(dduring the auto-refresh time) auto-refresh will not take place.
In this case:
1. you can manual refresh via the menu if the notification says new content is available.
2. leave the box on until the next refresh schedule.
if you are some of the users that don't leave the box on, then autorefresh will not have any use.
auto-refresh option is a nice convenience for the user.
is like having a food cooker with delay timer lol.

Use "Standby" mode. Don't use "Power off" mode.
The contents will auto-refresh at the scheduled time when the device is in Standby mode.
-
you can set the remote power button to standby when short press.
(I think that is set by default)

Thank you, mine is set at Standby mode, so when I watch the streaming the box light is white, at night before bed I press the STB button on remote and the light turns red. My question is when the light is red on the box is that considered power off or standby mode? or should I leave the box on at all times. sorry for my dumb questions.
-
power off means no light
you can test by holding down the stb button for 2seconds and selecting power off.
