I have factory reset this box multiple times and downloaded auto optimiser app. Changed multiple settings however the Dolby truehd is not on the listed available formats under audio settings on kodi. This leads me to think this box does not support the pass through for this

Well no, since it works with others... Sorry to insist...
But I have the z11 Pro Max, maybe the regular Pro is different?Could you post some photos like mine with configuration on audio settings in Android settings ans Kodi ?
Version 21.1 ?
-
I have z11 pro max also I will post audio settings shortly
-
I use Kodi v21.0.1 but from APK not marketplace. All audio works flawlessly. Not sure if this helps but this is my Audio settings in Kodi:
Audio Output device : KODI IEC packer
# of channels : 2
Output configuration : best match
Maintain original volume downmix & stereo upmix : both OFF
Allow passthrough : ON
Passthrough output device : AudioTrack IEC, Kodi IEC packer
All Dolby, DTS, TrueHD,DTS-HD toggles = ONI also have Shield and with Kodi (v20) same setup, works fine.

Just to add a note on previous issue (lip sync on VOD only). I also have Denon AVR. I found that turning OFF on the TV (Sony) A/V sync settings, will fix the VOD issues but then live tv sync is off. I've tried lots of combinations, including turning Denon audio sync on/off but can't find the right settings. The funny part is that I seem to recall this is was never an issue on earlier Formuler releases (using the latest release). If anyone has VOD and livetv with a denon working for proper lip sync please share.
I have my Formuler connected to HDMI on Denon, Denon then via eArc (fully enabled) to the TV. Also tried Formuler directly to TV. Thanks all !

Hello all.
May i say something. It worked!!! Many hours of frustration but it works.
What have i done:
I deleted kodi and i installed it again. 21.1 play store. I set the settings on the same before. And i dont know what i did different i think only the reinstalation. But it works. Dolby atmos is now displaying om my denon!
I wanted to sell the formuler because of this, but now it works! I play movies from ssd on Kodi. 7.1 channel

Thanks all for the communication here and discuss this problem. If someone needs help i will help.

More important that the integration comes into MOL 3 - thats all we want 😅
-
Hello all,
I was in conversation with Peter from Formuler and he told me the devs.were working on it, I really hope they will found a solution.
We all know now that technically it is possible using external player (kodi) so the chipset is able to manage the Dolby true HD Atmos in passthrough mode.
Now we want it with MOL3 because the internal player is really very good with all options included : resume , favorite,....
I was also thinking replace my Z11 pro max but now I m waiting about this fix ....

-
Thanks for info my friend
-
Any news about this topic ? We are still waiting for a fix since August and even installing the last update from December the Dolby Atmos true HD signal is still not working with MOL 3 ....I m still frustrated that I can read the true HD signals with my Z11 while the Z8 does it correctly 😞
Do you think it will come with the next update?
Thanks 🙏

Goodday my friend,
I have a lg tv with dolby atmos sound.
There is a channel from sky that have dolby atmos. I thought it was "sky main event" channel.
When there is a game on, i see a popup in the right corner on my lg tv that says "dolby atmos".
That means it works.
-
Hello ,
I think with sky it is more Dolby digital with Dolby Atmos so it is not the true Dolby Atmos signal.
Can you please try with VoD movie like Top gun Maverick and tell me if you still the Dolby Atmos logo displayed on your TV ?

Will have a look.
It should be only passthru.

i know the Formuler Devs know the differences and can hopefully do that for us. Thank you so much -

Hello
I tried again today with the latest updates, no problem letting all audio formats pass on Kodi for example, if it is properly configured. With files stored on my NAS.
DD, DD+, DD+ Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby TrueHD Atmos, DTS, DTS-HD MA, and DTS-HD HR all work.
So the hardware is not the issue, it's "just" software.
On the other hand, I tried with Tivimate on a few files from my provider. It works but only in DD, DD+, and DD+ Atmos.
The soundtracks that should theoretically come out in Dolby TrueHD come out in DD (the core).
Just like on MOL3, I believe...
It's not common to find VOD files in TrueHD (Atmos or not) or in DTS(-HD) on the server I'm using...
-
there is many trueHd (atmos) only think I hate is when your remote wont control the sound
-
Have the devs had a look into a fix for this issue? Any updates on the situation at all?
-
They will not fix it ... We have reported this issue since almost 1 year and nothing had been done so I m very disappointed about Formuler , no communication at all for a box which cost 160 eur and no HD audio signals supported , it is really not acceptable.
The only solution is to use Kodi as external player but you are loosing all functionalities from the internal player: resume , history,...
-
Important fix needed for this, because the hardware is there to produce it. Hope the Formuler team can get a check on the audio files in mytv3 in next update?
-
The audio on this box and MOL3 is a lot worse than what you get on the Z8. Endless problems with audio sync as well, it's a real shame because it really lets the rest of the box down

Hi,
Can some please post an idiots guide to getting g passthrough to work on Z11 pro max?
Thanks

Threadaudio passthrough settings in MOL3
Hello,
I ve bought recently the new Z11 pro max and I ve problem with the audio passthrough configuration.I ve read many threads from 2023 talking about audio passthrough and Dolby Atmos issue concerning the Z11 pro max but every time no real solutions were given ...
I have also the Z8 and I ve absolutely no problem for playing Dolby Atmos true hd or DTS HD on my Pioneer AVR .
On my Z11 pro max I ve for sure installed and run audio optimizer and put the audio surround to AUTO .I m able to get 5.1…Z11 Pro MAX MYTVOnline3dedelereMay 17, 2024 at 1:25 PM -
I've read through the entire thread here, which is all about DD 5.1 and Dolby Atmos, although I find DD 5.1 much better than Dolby Atmos.
But my problem is that I can't play 5.1 audio from VOD series, for example. Sam wrote to me to install the audio optimizer with a green logo from the Market Store.
There is no audio optimizer with a green logo. If so, please tell me exactly where I can find this audio optimizer with a green logo. Thank you very much for that.

My friend,
On tour formuler is one app called "market app". That app has a green logo.
If you open market app you will find the app "audio optimizer". That app has a black logo.
Reason is that we say th market app with green logo is that some people look in google pla store. And not in market app.
-
I'm on the Formula "Market" and it has a green symbol.
And there's only the simple "Audio Optimizer" app, which has NO green logo. And I installed this Audio Optimizer days ago, right after I received the Formula Z11 Pro Max, and there's NO ACC 5.1 sound.
So, does the note with the "green logo" only refer to the Market app, or something? Then please write it correctly!!!

It does refer to the market app yes.
Audi optimizer has black/white logo.
-
yes is here Solved, but ACC 5.1 still doesn't work, which is a shame for a relatively new device.
As already mentioned, the app "IBO Player Pro" works perfectly on my LG 4K TV with webOS 22.
I can't confirm the other issue that many users here are complaining about, that DTS or DD 5.1
supposedly doesn't work; it works perfectly.
-
- Official Post
doesn't work
Can you provide more details about the issue you're experiencing? Is there no sound when you try to play contents with a certain audio codec? (AAC5.1?)

Last post from Pinarek deleted.
This is last call, one more use of unpleasant words against Formuler or programmers and you will be banned immediately!
If you don't like the box, return it and demand a refund, we won't allow you to behave here like a fury. You were asked by Formuler to explain everything in detail so that it could be passed on to the programmers, but no, you just want to bluster loudly here. Such users can stay away from us! Give normal and detailed info (if you want that something change) when asked or stop to post!

Okay sorry to bring an old thread up here... Just needed to clarify this in the forums, for future possible confusions.
I have just analyzed the Audio Optimizer 1.2.3 apk, and to streamline what it does:
- Check if optimization is needed
- Looks for codec files or audio_codec_rtk_10.zip in MyTVOnline or vendor directories.
- Prepare target directory
- Creates folders under:
- /data/data/tv.formuler.mytvonline.real (MOL2)
- /data/data/tv.formuler.mol3.real (MOL3)
- /data/vendor/lib (system-level for newer devices)
- Creates folders under:
- Copy codec files from assets
- Installs:
- libHA.AUDIO.DOLBYPLUS.decode.so (Dolby Plus)
- libHA.AUDIO.DTSHD.decode.so (DTS-HD)
- audio_codec_rtk_10.zip (additional Realtek codecs)
- Installs:
- Set system properties
- Enables AC3/DTS support globally:
- persist.sys.audio.addflag
- persist.sys.audio.addflag2
- Enables AC3/DTS support globally:
- Update file permissions
- Makes codec files executable, readable, writable.
- Show progress and completion message
- UI updates during copying.
- Trigger reboot
- Sends broadcast reboot_suspend_broadcast_enter to apply changes.
However the 2 flags set are completely ignored on devices with Realtek MS12 support in the firmware:
- MS12 is an integrated Dolby audio processing engine built into the Realtek SoC firmware.
- It supports Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby AC-4, and sometimes DTS decoding natively.
- It handles downmixing, dynamic range control, and lip-sync correction internally.
On older hardware:
- Older devices lacked built-in Dolby/DTS support in the firmware.
- MyTVOnline relied on external codec libraries (libHA.AUDIO.DOLBYPLUS.decode.so, libHA.AUDIO.DTSHD.decode.so) installed by Audio Optimizer.
- Flags like persist.sys.audio.addflag were used to tell the system to enable those codecs.
On newer hardware:
- MS12 is always active
- Dolby/DTS decoding happens inside the hardware pipeline, not via external .so files.
- The system ignores the old flags and doesn’t load external codec libraries because they’re redundant.
- This means Audio Optimizer does nothing useful—even if you install the codecs, they won’t be used.
Z7+, Z8, Z Alpha --- Android 7–9 --- ✅ Yes (installs Dolby/DTS codecs)
Z10 Pro/Pro Max, Z11 Pro/Pro Max --- Android 10+ --- ❌ No (MS12 built-in handles Dolby/DTS)
Z12 Ultra --- Android 11+ --- ❌ No (MS12 fully integrated, ignores flags)
TLDR: So Audio Optimizer will do absolutely nothing on devices from Z10 and forward, and are not needed because of MS12 capability.
On my Z12 Ultra after running Audio Optimizer and rebooting:
The content cannot be displayed because it is no longer available. Impressive, but not understandable to the average Joe

In your opinion, on which boxes you need to install and run audio optimizer in in which don't?
Can you change yourself (you i mean) if you find out something wrong, can you change the .apk audio optimizer for z8, z8, z10, z11 and z12 if needed?

Audio optimizer is not needed anymore on Z12, because all codecs are integrated! SAM did confirm this earlier after Z12 release.

Belgiumuser,i can confirm that on z12 you dont need to run Audiooptimizer, whereas on z11 (same provider) i do

I was directly confirmed when it came on the market yes.

I think you guys are missing afoldal 's point of his post. Yes, you are correct that you don't need to run Audio Optimizer on Z12, BUT he is showing that it does not do anything on the Z10 or Z11 as well.

On my z12 i do not have to run Audiooptimizer, however on my z10&z11 i do have to run it,if i dont i am left with video and no sound,so it does work, its probably provider related, because in the past i had a provider where i didnt have to run it on neither box
