  • Don't know whether this issue has anything to do with this software update, but now my Z11 Pro Max running Surfshark VPN shows only 1 mps download speed with Analiti where just a few days ago it was 160 mps (connected with ethernet cable). On my Buzz TV and Mecool boxes, with Surfshark running, they still show the 160 mps down (500mps without VPN running). I have uninstalled and then reinstalled latest Surfshark version with no change in Analiti speed test.


    Can you suggest anything at all that could help me in troubleshooting ?? For the moment, I will disable the VPN, but I prefer not to do this indefinitely.

    Crazy, with vpn choose p2p and search fastest country. Nordvpn can do that.

    And do not double vpn!

    some providers wont work with that and its slower than normal vpn.


    Vpn slows always internet speed.

    Try a different location in the VPN app

    I have the same issue. Everything worked perfect but after the update the connection is to slow to use my iptv. If i disconnect the vpn (surfshark) everything works how it should be

  • I have same issue with the update. I run 2 services on z11 ProMax. Running Surfshark all was good. Now not watchable since the update. Rebooted everything several times changed VPN location. Something is not correct with the update.

    Or surfshark have problems with it.

    Maby wait for update for surfshark.

    Consider test trial with other VPN,like e.g NORD:winking_face:,as all reports are with SurfsharkVPN.

  • Got a 2 year license with Nord VPN. Too many periodic issues with Surfshark to stay with it. Thanks for all of your suggestions. Though none of them solved the specific issue, everything is back to normal with Nord.

    Though I resolved the issue with a change in VPN, I do agree with bigbadger51, that this issue with Surfshark may be due to some change in this latest update. I test my system just last week after updating Analiti app and got 160mps download. No changes were made to anything up until the 99% drop in speed other than the Formuler update. I changed locations all over the world with no improvement as well as tried all available protocols and different DNS servers.

    For me, it doesn't matter anymore after switching to Nord, but the update may or may not be a contributor. Two other Android TV boxes on my network in other room running Surfshark remain unaffected. FYI: the Z11 Pro Max runs circles around both other manufacturer's boxes, which is why they were moved to lesser used rooms.

  • It is a problem caused by surfshark vpn and the last update from formuler. I don't know what is causing the problem but it lowers my connection speed for the mytvonline app but also for apps like youtube. I have no problems on my mobile phone (mytvonline app&YouTube) or my macbook (smarters pro app&YouTube) and they both are also running on surfshark vpn.

    There seems to be an issue from Surfshark side.

    Please try to access Surfshark settings > VPN settings and switch to a different protocol. (other than WireGuard)

    Running Surfshark with Wireguard on my Buzz X5 and Mecool boxes and they are both working fine.

  • With the latest beta version, I’m getting greyed out channels, the channels will eventually come back sometime later, also when I switch channels, the channel will flicker blank and come back a second or two later.

    There is only a final and no beta right now, I think!

  • For the last 1 - 1.5 weeks my VODs starts freezing/buffering all the time. VOD ran perfectly when I bought everything in April and now it’s a sh$tshow. Sometimes it helps to completely reboot Z11 but not always. Live TV/Timeshift also sucks. It will jump forward, then backwards even several times that you watch the same sequence up to 5 times. My Mbps is larger than 200 (e. g. 268) but watching TV/VOD sucks. And it wasn’t like this before the software update…Any advice? Thanks in advance!

  • Please test same line with some other IPTV App to see if same. If same, restart Router and test also with active VPN.

I disabled the AFR settings now and rebooted the Z11 and also my Starlink several times. I am still on long buffer. Last night the problem for VOD seemed to be fixed, to be confirmed further.

    Timeshift still a problem. All of a sudden it will repeat a certain section of about 5 seconds several time or it will alternately jump forward and backwards or will change to slow motion (even on live program). Not sure wether this is a problem of that specific channel as I haven’t reproduced it on other channels.

    When this happen check the Provider Signal , right upper corner (III). If empty then is such channel overloaded and buffer gone empty.

    Sorry to say, but your description does sound like a provider issue. What you are referring to as TimeShift is a common provider issue. The repeating of a specific segment. Sometimes a VPN could help and I would test one just to rule it out
