Tonight while I was watching live TV, I received a pop up message indicating that a show that I had set to record was about to be aired. It gave me a choice of Cancel the recording or Go to Live, so I chose Go To Live. The channel changed successfully and the recording began, however it was the wrong channel. The channel number that I wanted to record was 691 and it changed it to 690.
I quickly cancelled the recording and then took a look at the scheduled recordings in MTVO. It showed the correct channel name and the correct connection name, but there was no channel number associated with the scheduled recording. So I deleted it and re-created it.
So my question is, if my provider makes channel changes, do I have to recreate the scheduled recording every time? Is there a way that the scheduled recording can "follow" the recording if the provider changes channel numbers?
I have been disappointed a few times after sitting down to watch a recorded show, only to find that the wrong channel was recorded. So I'm hoping that maybe I'm on to something.
