    Stalker Portal and Playback limit with this protocol is always controlled by Provider. 3hours are set as standard in this protocol. Maybe some other boxes/ iptv apps ignore this setting, Formuler not but your Provider should know that this restriction exists.

    XC Api Portal and M3u are not controlled through Provider and you can set by your self the Playback limit or turn off. In your case i would change all 6 subs from Stalker to XC Api to have full control and bypass the Playback Limit.

    Any progress in what causing the portal mode to generate black screen?

    Formulers customers want to know what Formuler think of this problem.

    Formuler blame the provider, while at least one provider had checked one box that had the black screen problem with TeamViewer and they did not see anything wrong from their side.

    For your knowledge I have change my IP settings to static on both my router and Formuler Z8 box. This was made on Friday and immediately I saw improvements but still the back screen came few times when I changed channel. Yesterday though, it worked all day. The thing that is for the better is when I turn the box on, all channels are there and working, before I had to disconnect and connect to get it work.

    Maybe a setting for it would be nice if it's not auto.

    I am using XC portal and still I am having black screen problems. Every single time I try to use the box. This must be a problem with the Z8 box, friends have other formuler boxes with mol2 subscriptions and no issue. I changed to static but still not working. This is a Formuler issue with z8 and it needs to be fixed

    Yes.. that is a solution that works for most people but all the users that have the black screen generates extra work and support from their seller that needs to help them with that.

    Can you specify what Formuler have found out?

    Like many other in this thread says, their subscription works perfectly on other boxes than Formuler.

    Of course does nothing of that you suggested help.

    Everybody that has the black screen problem has obviously not the same ISP.

    People have tried several times to do a factory reset.

    With no difference at all with the black screen problem.

    Formuler loosing customers every day that this problem is not solved.

    I have stopped selling Formuler Z8 Pro to my customers now until a proper solution is presented.

    Not worth the extra support and service.

    Before this problem it was my recommendation for all my customers to buy a Formuler Z8/Z8 Pro.

  • I think is is stupid that the z8 box does not work optimally. And I think they are a simple explanation of formula and blame on provider without further ado. It has worked with box and provider for a long time. Until the last update from formula. Seems formula should take all inquiries seriously and checked thoroughly. and posted status and info here on the pages. Has canceled 20 boxes pending the result here. So sharpen up, and give us feedback on what the problem is. Is there a new update? and how far have you come.

    No and I won’t. I bought a product and service and expect it to work as and when it should. When Formuler fix the problem I will be happy. It is clear the box is the problem. I and everyone else experiencing this same problem shouldn’t have to try 100 different ways Formuler representatives think and hope the problem can be fixed.

    Once again: This issue is under investigation since few days and we are testing the affected provider. In direct testing after many hours, the issue is not reproducible with Stalker protocol, like reported from few users.

    Reported was: Black screen appear after 15-45 Minutes and channel change.

    What devs. now need are few users with this issue and logs from them to see exactly where the problem comes from.

    How to do it: User is in MOL2 , the issue appear, user change to home menu and send the log through the box.

    I need the Tracking nb. to forward to Formuler so they can identify the right log file for this case. Please post your Tracking nb. in this thread.

    The causes of black screen issues vary, and this is mostly an ISP or server problem. If other devices work properly for the same IPTV service, and only Formuler does not work properly, the exact information like the device's name and the service info about it will have to be passed on to the developer of Formuler.

    To find out if this is a server problem, test the servers of various IPTV service providers. Most of these issues are often resolved by using other service providers. Or if you use a VPN while using the service, it could also be a cause of the black screen issue.

  • After more than a week of problems with black screen when changing channels, I tried what Raffe suggests and it works for me. Have used Timate in the meantime with the problem and it works. The problem should be with the provider of iptv.

    But you are using the same provider, on the same box? How can you say it's a provider problem then? :smiling_face: If it's a provider problem, why is it working with xc login on mytvonline 2 and no other boxes has these problems?

    Many of the customers are not the most technical ones when it comes to get instructions and then follow them.

    That is why they bought this box from the beginning.

    They wanted a box that works. Without any hassle.

    XC login is much better than stalker login as more options were added to the IPTV service.

    Any customer that can add stalker login, will not have an issue adding login username and password.

    Sadly, there are customers that will need support until they get used to everything involved with IPTV streaming services.

    All boxes have hassles with network connection etc at sometime and support will be needed even when there is no simple fix.:smiling_face_with_halo:

    Many providers give their customers all options for connection to their service including web browser.

    I have different apps on my Z8 pro.

    I only had black screen issue once - both apps had the issue, turned out to be provider issue.

    I understand your issue, I just maintain friends and family boxes.

    Hopefully Stalker issue will get fixed soon but long term with more features being added XC login will be better for your customers.

    When i begin selling Formuler boxes again i will preinstall it with XC-login. But all my boxes that already been sold was stalker.

    Until the problem is solved i dont sell any Forumler at all.

    We do not ignore this issue, with user Kingcool we share since days needed data and proceed this to the devs! By the way, is the only one who care about this and proceed data to us. We posted in this thread how to send log.file after the issue appear but not even one user/reseller did this! Thread was temporarily closed because some users/resellers ignore our forum rules, just blaming but not send the log. files with Tracking nb. we asked for.

    The issue is under investigation and the devs. need time to find the reason for this issue. After we get some new informations, the thread will be open again.
