Im curious if this Formuler is like an Formuler Z+ (basic model) or like an premium model like the z7+ or z8

Should replace the old Series z <-> z7+, with lower specs like Z8 but with all benefit of MOL2. -

If everything is working good or very good, and new features in all listings of all the new releases after your current version do not contain anything that you absolutely must have, then don't upgrade. There is always risk that something important to you stops working. And downgrade is not possible.

Not exactly, but if you need other box, want still use MOL2, with less cost and can live with lower specs, then you can buy the new one. Z8 is still the box with highest specs and on first place but Alpha comes on second

I still like the Z7+ with MOL1, one of my first ever boxes that I have bought, from then I was stuck with Formuler. It's still a classic box for me

Hi, i will test the alpha this week-end (I have a Z8) but can i ask you some questions about spec ?
Specs on the Alpha vs Z8 :
8 Gb vs 16 Gb not very important for me
1 Gb Ram vs 2 Gb Ram. In witch case the 2 Gb ram is necessary ?
100 mbit vs Gigabit. A 4k HDR movie will work correctly on 100 Mbits ?

Depends how much tasks you open and use other ram hungry apps at same time. In normal situations, IPTV, recording, using 2-3 Apps at same time etc. you will see no problems. In my test i opened 12 tasks + MOL2 with recording, not even one issue
100 mbit vs Gigabit. A 4k HDR movie will work correctly on 100 Mbits ?
Didn`t tested yet, but should work.

I have tested the Z Alpha this morning (Connected in Ethernet) and i can recommended it !
A movie 4k HDR from my provider : No problem
A movie 4k HDR from my NAS : No problem
IPTV : No problem
I have notice no difference with my Z8

What are you trying to say? You could post detailed in future
Edit: There is no z9 and if it come some day, then will this be announced from Formuler and not from someone else. Z Alpha is new Box to fill the place from older boxes z- prime/z7+. Z8 is with higher specs still premium.

so say just for iptv the alpha preforms just a good as the z8?
i have a different brand and if i go too fast scrolling it can hick up or freeze a bit with in its apps functions
but the z8 i have never had any issues.
just want to know if i buy another batch and go with the alpha can i expect the same performance at the z8
the extra ram means nothing to me if were just using it for iptv

just looking at the alph so it only has 1 usb and no optic audio jack
2 usbs would be better 1 for the hard drive and 1 for the wireless keyboard -

Unfortunately I still didn't get my hands on the Z Alpha, so I haven't had the opportunity to test it, and therefore can't give you much advice, but I think it will not make any difference with the 1GB, of course if you're just planning to use it for IPTV.

well I have been running it for a few days my alpha box and tonight it seamed a bit sluggish like it wanted to think to respond

is there a way to clear the cache on the alpha other then just a reboot?

Go to android settings and select apps.
Then select mytvonline 2 and clear cache.
Or for all apps at the same time:
Settings, then storage & reset.
Then internal shared storage.
Then cached data.

z8 and z alpha have same firmware i thought, so must be the same steps.
Or if you means info like the specs i refer you to formuler website and or google.

my thoughts on the alpha......its a cheaper box and the remote is cheap
spend the extra and get the z8 a much better box and remote

There isn't much difference in price, it seems a bit strange and Price wouldn't be the decider for me. I went for second Z8
