Gtv's amlogic S905 series is curruntly the dominant in the market of settopbox . And the advantage of Z8 pro's hisilicion cpu is that is said to be excellent in soft color expression .
Therefor , there are advantages in each processing ability and expression ability
GTV NO BUFFERING AT ALL PERFECT
maybe perfect for you den but I'm having serious issues with my gtv,I just don't get it z8 pro perfect gtv struggling same subs
Tried everything and still same results
Did you try (just for test) to connect wired or change to other Wifi channel?

If possible not used or with less traffic.

IPV 6 i would not recommend for this box, use always if possible IPV4. Try to change from dhcp to static ip and set your buffer time to higher value, this could help.
buffer time allways set high I've rebooted the box and all seems fine,some gremlins in that box 😄
Z8 pro was perfect was just the gtv what was having issues all good now

I’m having an issue with Buffering too. I’ve a wired Ethernet connection going into the GTV. Usually I’ve pretty good internet speeds but Ive noticed that if the speed drops to 40mb the my plex App really struggles and buffers every few seconds. Have any of you guys got any suggestions I could try?

Had a buffering problem yesterday on my Z8pro. Was watching Sport Austria 3, was lagging every 10-15 seconds. All other channels work fine. I have wireless with >150mbit, so no problem with that.
I was changing the buffer from none to 5sec and 10 sec., but no effect whatsoever.
Do I have to reboot the box to get the buffer into action?

Provider issue. Not an issue with your device

Hey Den, thanks for the suggestion, tired that tonight and had the same thing happen. Speedtested on an app on the GTV and was getting about 60mb down but plex was Still buffering badly. Had to reduce quality to 720p to watch. Surely with 60mb down you should be able to stream 1080p?
Any suggestions would be really appreciated

What is your isp speed and did you try changing to static ip.

Hey Mevi. Thank you for the reply! My isp speed last night was about 60mb - 70mb down. I don’t have a static isp. When the buffering was happening last night as a comparison I tried to run a 4K movie in Netflix on my Apple TV just to see if it would work with the speed that I was getting and it streamed with no Issues.

Did you try to clear the cache ? close the application or reboot the device.

Thanks for the suggestion. I closed the app and I did a restart on the device just incase also. I just did a few Speedtests on analiti on the device and it’s reading about 240mb down and I’m still crazily buffering on Plex trying to stream a 1080p tv show ![]()
