    New beta MOL 2 for GTV released.


    MYTVOnline 2 : 9.2.9 BETA


    WARNING:

    Install and use at your own risk. Software cannot be rolled back after installation.

    Please keep in mind, this is Beta and could have also bugs or act unstable, it is for testing and not for productive use 24h with your box.

    If you don`t want to test and report, please wait until official comes out. No Forum support in other threads if beta in use, beta issues should be discussed only in this thread.


    HowTo Install:

    Home Menu -> Software Update app -> press "1339" -> Red Icon and Beta Test SW appear (right corner) -> Press Red Button -> Now is the Firmware and Software shown, press now "OK" button for install.

    The install process and reboot works automatically! Please don`t turn off the box or plug out the power supply, could damage the box. The reboot after update needs always much longer than usual, please be patinate and let the box finish the install. If necessary reboot later once again.

    It happened on mine today after update. This is what I found out. I switched on box. It was black screen. I turned off. My vpn. And it came on then put my vpn on again. All ok. Then switched box off. Then on. Black screen. Turned off vpn again all came on. So could it be a provider not allowing vpn.

    I think this background of the issue was discovered from words2thewise as per his quote below.

    Whenever the Z8's freeze, the program will eventually come back on. However, with the GTV, this is not the case.

    GTV will stay with this message on the screen and I have to turn over/restart the box to get this message off. Whereas with the Z8, It would automatically solve itself.

    Feel exactly the same way myself. Coming from a Z8 to a GTV feels like a downgrade at the minute.

    Have had the GTV for 2 months now and there doesn't seem to be any reason or benefit to swapping to a GTV from a Z8.

    Have had countless issues that I have reported here.

    I have had the VPN error were the box is more or less unresponsive if left on with a VPN. To resolve this I have to manually disconnect and reconnect VPN.

    2nd is the InvalidresponcecodeException error I receive. Think I discovered what the issue was when I raised a thread about it here. When the Z8 disconnects from a channel it tries to reconnect to it. However, if the same happens to the GTV, it produces the error "InvalidresponcecodeException". Which causes me to change channels back and forth until the original channel begins working.

    These issues are enough to put people off purchasing a GTV. If I would have known that the GTV wouldv'e had these issues before ahnd, I wouldve kept my Z8 and held off an buying one as my Z8 didn't have any of these issues.

    Very disappointed this update doesn't resolve these issues.

    Notes really need to be taken by Formuler because the real issues with this device are not being addressed.

    Try to turn off the "Auto switch to best resolution" and try again.

    • Home > Settings > Device Preferences > Display > Screen resolution > Turn off the "Auto switch to best resolution" and try again.

    Check if there is a similar option in the TV settings.

    If it doesn't help, please provide a video and the logs of the issue.

    Jennie this is the issue when I turn it On, the gtv changes resolution.
